  20. I was a very well behaved child. The rules were explained and we followed them. If you had any questions it was ok to ask permission to do something before doing it. All very logical. But as an adult I think I am still looking for permission from those around me.

    Permission is always a question. Proactive permission is simply called “do something.” Stop asking.

Pressing her eyes closed she recalled the voice on the phone, “The person in authority knows you well enough to predict that you weren’t going to ask for permission.” There’s the headache. Rosa rubbed her eyes, enjoying the dimness it created. So, it’d been a set up. She was predictable. Her action allowed others inaction. Great managerial skill had to be admired.

It’s a strange thing, really, identifying yourself to something unfounded and convoluted. Strange also that no one has taken upon them the task of rethinking and reidealizing the things that create what we are to become.
