  1. Persons. Same as people. Just a different way of saying something. But isn’t that we try to do all the time? Use euphemisms to lighten the load, steady the inevitable fall? Without dualism and the ability to express ourselves differently, in the same sense, we would not be able to enter a parallel universe of hard-to-fake smiles and hidden tears that everyone seems so anxious to display outside the comforts of the four walls of home.

  2. There are many persons of interests in the world. For example, the most interesting person in the world. It has been surmised that he is the stig- he might also just be the guy from that one Dos Equis commercial. Either way, it is nigh indisputable that they don’t always intrigue us, but when they do, they do it completely.

  4. first of all persons suck. persons are rude very rude. they walk over you and say i love you but dont mean it. persons plus i hate this word i say people!are terrible! like this one girl i meat total bfff…right??? wrong she parades around like a slut which breaks my heart because now every man in my life someohow is now in hers…wel i hate persons ! enough said.

  25. Even though I’m surrounded by them I feel like they’re so far away. Each one of them, talking and laughing, their reality is too different. Most people are boring and shallow, and they’ll confine me to their reality. What’s the point of trying to get along with them? I want to stay in my own reality, where nothing that anyone says can harm me or even touch me.

  29. People are so different. Sometimes their strange and sometimes they are adored. Humanity was meant to be unique. Sometimes people don’t like that. They don’t want differences between them. They all want to be treated the same, and that makes sense. So why did God design humanity like that?
    There is always a reason but we don’t know why…

  31. Persons? Why not “people”? I always get confused on when to use one or the other. I remember reading in Elements of Style that one should use one over the other depending on the context, but I forget the specifics. Generally, I would just use “people,” as in: “How many people are coming to the party?” Can one also say, “How many persons are coming to the party?”

  33. I never understood how that word was proper English. I don’t say “I went to the beach with some persons.” So I guess people is a slang word? I think it is justified in some grammar situations but, necessary? I think not, people suffices just fine.

  36. Why do I miss him? But I don’t miss him. I miss the boy who stayed up until three in the morning texting me about how great our friendship was. I don’t miss the boy who quickly filled the gap I left with hoards of multiple persons that he thought would compensate for the loss of me. I’m not sure if it really worked. His smiles say yes, but I know his mind works overtime underneath the exterior. And I know I’ll get over this struggle, but I don’t know when, or how long I’ll feel like someone died inside of him and something horrible was bred out of misery.

It wasn’t the coffee that beckoned them, but the milk-swirl illustrations on top of the coffee that the renowned painter-turned coffeeshop owner Al Bernstein drew. These little concoctions – different every day – were worth thousands of dollars when bought in their easel-and-paint form. To drink Al’s paintings was to put a little bit of his soul into your bloodstream. And that was a dream for the hundreds of starving street-artists who waiting in front of the aging brick cornershop at four in the morning.

  39. That word is wrong. it’s just wrong. you can’t say “persons”, it’s “people” what you really mean. Stop repeting it, it’s wrong, it just sounds wrong, it feels wrong to the very core of my soul. That’s when i realized my obsession with grammar was going to influence the rest of my life. Soemtimes for good, sometimes… not so good.
