swimming
chlorine
red eyes
sunshine
cutting the fat on your hip on the edge of a water fountain because you were running
make a joke about boobs
ten years old
pretend to skinny dip to see your friend’s balls

pooling in the corner…was car blood! (well it was actually gasoline but hey) and so, i screamed, a deep manly, scream. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek!
She dove in. no breathe holding at all. it was intense. everybody looked and stared she started to drown, what was happening, something was in the water. it was a snake

He wasn’t breathing. Even though she had fished him from the pool just in time, even though she had done all the right steps, what she’d learned in class, he definitely was not breathing, dammit. Sobs wracked her body, and she leaned over him, dripping wet in her clothes. his lips were blue and his eyes were closed, and she kept saying his name, Steve, Steve, STEVE, until she was shouting it and let the people hear, because she didn’t care anymore. She had thrown him in, let them think that, let them think what they liked. As long as he lived.

She dove in, letting the water envelope her in it’s velvety embrace. She felt free and calm. The sun refracted through the water, making everything under the surface seem to sparkle. She surfaced.
She watched as he made circles around and around. The water splashing and sloshing, but not at all jarring. He belonged there. She only wished she could join him as well.

On the waves, through the pool, a feeling for a renewal is something that allows for all resources to simply not think ,but do.

The place was a pool of shadows. Odd shapes, mystical shades and gruesome umbras were lurking behind the altar. The chapel was so full of shadow-creatures that it would not be hyperbolic to call it the temple of incubi.
Puddle. Muddy puddles. Splash. Mud. Dirt. Four years old. Nostalgia. The cool, savoury whiff of fresh rain. Fresh air. What a relaxing, carefree life I had as a kid.
The pool party last night was really Amazing. My friends were and liked it a lot.

The pool table sat in the corner, a beacon to the lonely people who’s dates never showed. Groups of people gathered ’round it slowly, drinks in hand, offering the buy the next round if they lost. Games of lonely people tired of being played.
in the pool, I wait for the cue
cut in two, my bottom half looks askew
Bill Yard appears, his blazer blazing blue
some girls are spewing drool, mewling mules
it should be soon I slip over, plant the jewel
I miss the cue because I look down and see a passing stool
There was a pool so clear you could see all the way to the bottom and I really loved swimming in it. I liked watching myself swim around because it wasn’t mu

She was standing by the pool. The water was glistening off her back, down her thighs, in her hair. I could only stare; my feet were as if buried in cement. She turned to laugh at a friend’s joke and my heart shattered at the sound. As if all the angels in heaven were singing. I knew I loved her.

In the summer I go to Mama’s house, and we swim. It is usually me, my 6 siblings, and my mom and step dad. We like to jump in to the pool to cause a big splash!
Shawn Richardson
Come meet us by the swimming pool, and afterward, we’ll play a game of pool. And after that, why not chip a few dollars into the growing pool so we can afford to keep our swimming pool full? Look out – Steve is going to crush that eight ball, and my Magic Eight Ball says that your billiards outlook is not so good. C’mon, throw some bucks into the pot – it’s for a friend, after all!
Belinda Roddie
Seeing the pool make me think of good people and good memories. Along with swimming pools I think of summer. Summer is something that is so sweet yet too short. I wish time lasted longer
Kylie
Pools remind me of summer. Of sun, green grass, laughter, the smell of sunscreen. All the best summer memories. Friends, family

I have a pool in my backyard that is very nice and relaxing. I also like to play pool but don’t get the chance very often.

Standing on the edge, leaning over, he couldn’t make the leap. The blue washed over by waves of light reflected on the bottom invited him to plunge, but his reluctance won out. Until his toes gave way to the pressure of gravity…
