  5. I don’t know about any pouches, but I do know a good one always makes a difference. Imagine waking up in the morning and looking out at a nice sunny day; you’re all happy and cheerful and at school you take out your pouch for a pencil and it looks all inky and tattered. Ugh, not cool. See, it ruins your entire mood. That’s what I meant about a good one making all the difference.

  6. a puch is a pocket.. of sorts.. it holds things but is not stranded to the inside of a peice of clothing like a pocket is… it is somewhat free in that since when you compare a pouch to a pocket.

  12. Kangaroos have pouches. Momma kangaroos carry their babies in their pouch. It must be a bumpy ride for the baby kangaroo, especially when the momma is hopping. I wouldn’t like that very much. I would get motion sickness.

  17. The pouch contained all that he needed for the last leg of his journey. It’s been a long, hard road but he had finally made it back to his hometown. It sat practically on the edge of the world. He patted the old, weathered pouch and grinned to himself. The herbs and medicines he brought should help a lot of needy children.

  35. The Joey felt he was old enough to get out of the stupid, slimy, “overly motherly” pouch. He was a big boy already! He jumped out and hopped away from his mom. Feeling a little overwhelmed with his new-found independence, he hopped back to his mom, gave her a kiss, and let himself be taken over by her maternal feelings – just for a while until he could go off and hop by himself again. She let him. She supported his independence, like all good moms do.

Joey peeked out as the mama kangaroo slowed down her strides. He smelled the air and took a little look and then hid back down inside. From far away they could see smoke. Smoke from a fire burning in the bush. Change direction. Hop away from the smoke, towards the clear air.

    “No you certainly may not” he replied primly, “My grandpa gave it to me, it has sentimental value”.
    Of course, now that I couldn’t have the pouch, I needed it.

  40. The pouch was red & yellow. His favorite colors. She missed him. She hated that pouch but it reminded her of him. She kept it. Everything in it. She missed him. She will forever be heart broken but that pouch with his ashes in it, she’ll always keept.
