This girl makes my stomach turn. Every time she says something it jars my brain. She makes me feel like I’m in a blender. I just want to tip my chopped up self into a cup, throw it in the freezer, and forget.

I wish I was writing about “pore” because that came to my mind first , but if I did write about that , it would be wrong. Let’s pour the soup in her pore . :) That’s funny .

During my family trip to Peggy’s cove, a deluge of rain poured down on us the whole time we were there. It was very frustrating not to be able to stand on the rocks and enjoy the ocean. I eventually made it to the lighthouse but was drenched. I had to change my clothes in the van on the way to Halifax. I have never seen so much rain pour down in such a short time. Oh well, I guess I will just have to visit Peggy’s Cove again.

it poured all night last night. I love the sound of rain on the roof. Comforting, insulating, makes me happy to have a place to be, a snug bit of earth. Makes me sad for those who don’t have such a place.

I poured my heart out to him. everything I’d every wanted to say to him, came out of my mouth. I couldn’t stop. I didn’t stop. Not until I was finished. I looked up at him, and not one trace of emotion was on his face, and he hadn’t heard a word; just me crying.

It seemed her face was melting…tears were pouring from her eyes like a broken, neglected faucet….yet there was nothing I could do. An arm around her shoulders? A pat on the back? Nothing would suffice as “proper comfort” for the damage that I had already done.

Don’t pour the salt on my wounds, she says. He can’t see where she is, what she’s saying – I don’t understand, he says.
Leave me alone, she says, stop coming back just to break my heart again. He looks at her, reaching a hand up to stroke the side of her face, but she turns away and his heart contracts.
Leave, she says, and he does.

I poured the coffee into the cup, and the stream seemed to splash into it through slow motion. Nothing else mattered anymore, only the beverage. Even the drops that came from the faucet slowed down.

I always pour the water into my cup of tea before I pour in the milk. Some people do this the other way round, but is there an actual advantage to that method?

pour out your emotions just like a cup of tea, sometimes you want it sometimes you don’t, and sometimes it’s very necessary. it can end in disaster, but it’s always worth a try. you never know, it might make you feel better.

i watched as you poured the water on the ground. all that time, that drive to the beach to get it in the first place. picking out the right glass and shape so that i didn’t make a wrong impression. sending it to you so long ago, only to find my way to you, and to it. only to get in a fight with you and watch its contents empty upon soil from the opposite coast. only to watch you get further and further away from me, which i guess you’ve been doing for years now, haven’t you.

I sat at the window and just watched the rain pour down. the earth is being cleansed, and we get to watch. the streets gleamed and the grass shined. raind pounded on the roof as i sat inside and listened.

Rain pours down. April showers. I’m static, waiting change but welcome the bell jar that’s settled. One of these days it feels that it might all stop and make me aware of the fact that it’s all a joke on me. And then what? And the rain keeps pouring but no answers come and all I feel is the bell jar shutting on me.

The sky looks so heavy,
so sad and
tired
of carying that weight. so just
let go,
let it pour,
let it fall,
cry sky.
cry those tears
until you are dry
and smile,
because the sun will come again,
and embrace you.
Let it pour.
