  1. I slowly pour myself a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows as I think about my day. Who knew that today would be the day? Who knew that I’d be this excited? I can’t remember ever being this excited. I didn’t even realize that the smooth cocoa was pouring down my hand until I felt it’s smooth goodness. Who knew I’d be in such a good mood the day I died?

  22. I love to pour water into a pitcher when I make Kool-Aide. I’m not black, by the way. I just love how refreshing and tasty the water looks, then after you pour it in, you mix in the drink mix & sugar and then you get to enjoy your “hard work” that you put into making that drink.

  25. When I think about having a liquid to drink I think of how hard it is for me to actually get things into the cup. I’m not sure exactly why I have this problem, but it seems that I always miss. My parents always have to help me or I have to pour it over the sink to try not to look as stupid as I feel. It’s quite stupid.

  28. pouring water, of course pouring water, don’t you think I’m a scientist? oh shit the comma button is malfunctioning. but back to the water. i once had a rather transcendental experience that occurred in autumn, where the water was very cold, and despite that, i went in anyway, right up to my ears. it was cold at first, but then warm, and like magic, i was free.

The french word meaning “for” that subsequently helped me understand the english word “why.” In french the word for why is “pourquoi” or directly translated it’s ” for why.” I always found questions starting with “why” very difficult to address as a writer, because of it’s vagueness, but thinking of it in french helped.

  40. pour the water down the drain. such a waste. how come people do not preserve water like they should? don’t they know that some people don’t have any water at all that’s suitable for drinking? how greedy of them. how very high and mighty of me to be judging them. i guess i am just more judgmental than i would like to admit.
