  1. this makes me think of the rainbow passage we had to ask people to read in graduate school – i had to read aloud for a screening to enter the graduate program at kent and never stuttered once

  2. An image appeared in the smoke that surrounded the prism. Someone was holding a knife to the throat the Crowned Prince. The hand was small, delicate, decidedly female covered in black leather.

The Prince looked a mixture of confused and betrayed as though he knew his attacker.

  5. I have no idea what prism even means. The word prism makes me think of that Pink Floyd album and the creepy video that goes with it. Prism isn’t a word that I use in my day-to-day vocabulary it’s just one of those words that are just there. Prism makes me think of triangles and light passing through them. Which I haven’t really thought about since high school geometry class. What a strange prompt.

    Meagan Thompson
  6. A shape in some random form that i dont know of clearly. Its like a triangle 3 points three sides.

    Brooke Bates
  7. The prism stood, alone, unchallened in the centre room. Thomas glanced behind, but Sam merely rolled her spry sholders in a shrug. That was it. No sparks, no presentation. Only the stately air surrounding.

  8. I was a human prism, casting rainbows all over the windows and walls. I was ready to burst in a neon supernova when she found me – drunk and drenched with sweat on the dance floor of the Purple Pony Tavern, her hair pulled back beneath her black and red snapback. When we moved hip to hip and chest to chest, the perspiration somehow smelled sweater between us.

    Belinda Roddie
  9. Pressed to my eye the…
    Origami light bends
Lens of rainbows, physics, and old ass references
Your album collection had one on the cover, I spied
And maybe I was drawn to you for that detail
    More or less

Really how can one choose a favorite song
You know, it’s kinda like trying to pick just one color.
