  8. Its something they say your supposed to acquire, and once you acquire it, you have… everything? Something… I don’t like it personally… Pride can hurt, and pride can help, but all in all it is no solution. There is no absolute in which pride is righteous or required.

    I can define proud as, in a good way, being glad you are doing something someone else might not do.

  17. the one word that comes to mind is acceptance. no matter who you are or where you come from you stive for acceptance. acceptance from yourself and from those around you. the question is…which one is more important? I would like to say the former however in a world where the media and it’s idols dictate everything we partake in, we are most likely more concerned with the latter. I hope that one day we will all be able to love orselves no matter what the tabloids read. self acceptance could cure so many of out worlds problems.

  24. Pride is a strange thing. It was considered one of the “deadly sins” in the ancient world however in contemporary society we encourage eachother to be proud of our achievements. We are proud of passing examinations, of fears we have conquered or even the fact that we haven’t died yet.

  36. Proud os the basic status iby which every humasn tries to achieve and reach whether that be by following a religion or completing an important task. Proud is a feeling that only thte person who cares about wht they do can feel. So, basiccally someone who is proud is a step cloiser to being human.

  37. I’m so proud of my fiance. Or, rather, I’m selfishly proud of the fact that I’ve gotten and kept him for so long– almost two years. I’m proud of his creativity, his intelligence, and how cuddly he is. I’m proud of how he’s handled me, and I’m proud of how much he’s made me grow.

    The only way I can imagine being any more proud would be of the children I know we’ll have… someday. He’s not in a rush to have them, and I guess that’s fine.
