  6. I have always wanted someone to say that they are proud of me. I have lived my life, trying to make my parents proud when I really have no reason to. All that I want to do is to make something of myself: to beat the odds, not become another statistic, and rise above everything that has ever held me down. I will not become an alcoholic. I will not become a drug addict. I will become me and I will be proud.

  7. i was proud once but no i’mt not this is the craziest thing i’ve ever done. i don’t even know what i’m doing. i’m not even thinking about the word proud. i know that one day my pride will be my downfall. proud. who is proud? hwat defines proud? i am not proud. at least i think i’m not, or maybe i’m too proud. but proud of what. i’m not sure what i’m rpoud of . i have accopmle much in my life.

  13. i’m proud of something. i just don’t quite know what it is. i’ve done so much with my life and with my time, but i don’t feel as though any of it has been worthwhile for anyone other than myself. i want to help people, but i’ve become fairly narcissistic. i dont even think i spelled that right. all i know is that i want something more from everything.

  20. it makes people feel good when somebody does something that they and others thought they could not do. it’s the reward after feelings of accomplishment. it is something good to feel. and it is horrible if you are proud of somebody, but can’t do something to make tem proud of you.

  23. I am proud of my mother and everything she has done for me. She raised me with no help, and now we’re dong great. She has taught me so much, and i can not begin to thank her for everything she has done for me. Without her, I don’t know what i’d do. I am so proud to have he as my mother.

  38. I’m proud of who I am today. I didn’t always used to be that way, but I think I’ve come a long way. I’m also proud of my sister for choosing to go to a tougher program than most high school kids. I think she is insane for doing so but I’m also really proud of her for reaching so high in life. I think she’ll go to Yale.

  40. I am proud that I am starting to listen more than I talk. This is mostly and more importantly true with myself. I am starting to hear that little voice inside loud and clear. And she is starting to show me the way to that intangible place called happiness. I am starting to let that pigheaded pride trickle away, or at least diminish into the background, and I am really starting to see the pieces of me I can be proud of.
