    She lifted her hands, concentrating on the metal at her feet. There was a sudden pull, like her fingers were being reeled in by a fishing rod, and then the railroad ties were snapping free from the ground.

You might think she lived in the 1800s or something, by the way she dressed. But Frances-Jane was your average, modern 14-year-old. She thought she was too fat. And maybe she was. Maybe, she could’ve used to lose a few pounds. But that didn’t warrant the amount of self-hatred Frances-Jane possessed, nor the number of calories she’d consumed that day and then thrown up later.

  3. Lets see railroads remind me of trains. Nothing important. Comes up in Big Bang Theory a lot. Sheldon talks about. What a fascinating character. Really smart yet is kind of annoying. Nonetheless, he’s one of the funniest characters in the whole show. Well that includes Leonard as well. lol well they got a lot in Bangladesh I know that. And it rhymes with…. i don’t know can’t think of anything

  4. I live by a railroad, and honestly, it’s not so bad. Sure, there are homeless people who would mug you for a couple of dollars, and sometimes you are awaken by the toot of the engine, but no big deal.

This is for trains i believe and it can be fairly dangerous i think…it isnt very smart to walk one one since a train may be coming towards you at the moment.bad guys tie up people on these.people on cartoons and railroads can be good too because maybe its the railroad to Hogwarts.Which is pretty cool when you think of it.Dont ya think?

    Trains belong on railroads, not lives.

    Many people have lost their lives on a railroad. That’s pretty depressing.

  19. The railroad tracks had been there longer than I could ever imagine, but no trains rolled on it these days. Not since the fire choked the station with its smoldering fingers and dragged the wooden splinters into the dirt. The frame was strangely intact, but inside, it was gutted. Completely gutted.

    No one had attempted to bring the trains back. And as such, I intended to travel south on those abandoned tracks.

  22. What is it that calms us about railroads? is it the fact that you know a train or many trains have passed over this very track? is it that a train could come anytime. is it the silence of nothing and no one ?

  23. railroads make me think of taking pictures there. everyone does it. it makes me think of anna, how i always used to cross the train tracks to go to her house, back when we were still really good friends. i can’t remember the last time i rode on a train. can you out grow train rides?
