  4. I am reader, so I know how readers feel when you read a long passage. We feel bored and bland from the topic, just beacuse of the size of it. It is not beaucse the passage is not good but it is the amount of words we have to read is beyond our comperhention.

  6. The reader started to breathe heavy. The love scene was so intense in his mind he began envisioning himself as the character. The only thing he felt compelled to do was to relieve himself in the only manner appropriate. Masturbation. He puts the book down and continues to walk to the restroom. When I was in third grade I was (as I was through all of elementary school) an Accelerated Reader, but in third grade we were in a room that was very secluded and it was large and had bookshelves with books organized by level and a bathtub filled with pillows to read in and it was in the building which housed the library. My teacher’s name, no joke, was Mrs. Reeder. There you are.

  9. Watching the other students stand up and hand the teacher their papers before quietly exiting the room always made her feel slow-witted. After emptying her lungs and therefore releasing her tension, she went back to her test. Context lead her to believe the word was ‘saw’, not ‘was’. Dyslexic she was; a speed reader she would never be.

  10. The reader is a very selfish person. He or she demands entertainment, demands to be given knowledge, demands to to have things made apparent or abstract. A reader will read to gain something. Reading is an exercise in creativity, expression, but also in conformity and a way to avoid original thought.

  12. Reading is only interesting with a story that keeps one on the edge of his/her seat. I am capable of reading as long as 3 hours if the story is interesting. A reader is one who is interested in stories or information about various topics.

  21. I love books. Books are awesome. I just can’t find a whole lot of attention to pay when I’m reading now, thanks to Stumbleupon. I now have the attention span of a small dog, and everything online is like my favorite thing. I don’t know whether that’s good or bad. Sometimes it’s awesome. Especially when you’re one toke over the line. Which reminds me that I need music now. Maybe if I’d had that on before this would’ve been more interesting writing.

  28. Cold and windy today. Mabel is feeling better, but doesn’t have energy to do much but sit quietly reading this month’s Reader’s Digest. I spent the day preparing the week’s batch of BBQ sauce, but I am afraid it will go to waste as usual. Times are hard here lately.

  40. I’ve never been that much of a reader, but I think that might change. This new obsession in society about the fictional vampire, I had to see what they were talking about. I picked up the Twilight Saga, and read through each page of each book. Very interesting teenage love story. But so entertaining to see how humans really imagined us. Trying to re create us so that maybe we didn’t seem like such monsters… ha! I think I’d really be annoyed if I glittered in the sunlight……
