  1. In the shattered bits of mirror underneath the trailer she saw bits of her life reflected back. The dog, on a chain, eating it’s own feces. Old tires, old windows, old siding, old car batteries. In the reflection all this old, tired trash seemed sparkling and imbued with dirty interest.

  6. As I wandered aimlessly in to the bathroom, I caught a glimpse of my own reflection the mirror. The bedraggled hairs on my eyebrows were wildly untamed and I felt a small part of myself die when those cold dead eyes were looking back at me. I didn’t know what I was going to do with my life, but whatever it was, it would have to happen fast. I had had enough.

    Jonathan Carr
  7. When I saw my reflection in the mirror I almost barfed in my own lap. Plastic surgery was not a good idea, and I knew that, but I’ve just got to tell you the peer pressure–OH the peer pressure! of this blondified suburbia where I live just got to me like the dickens, like the plague! It was just too late to turn back when I moved into Santa Monica.

  12. I hardly dared glance back at the mess in front of me. I was afraid of what I might find. The Me everyone knew was long gone, I knew that. And in her place was this dirtied, immoral, selfish brat who was too afraid to stand up to herself.

I punched the mirror, catching a brief glimpse of my reflection. Yup. Dirty, immoral, selfish, afraid. And now bloodied.

  21. I look at my reflection and reflect on what my character reflects. Everything is a reflection of something and we all reflect our purpose of being. I look at those two shiny orbs I call my eyes and reflect whether they reflect me.

  25. when you reflect you think. thinking is good but it also takes you away from the moment. dont turn relfection into analyzing, overanalyzing. it should be a time to think and feel what you felt but not doubt youself and how you were and who you are. reflect knowing that those experiences good and bad happy sad make you

  26. Refelection is what you see in front of you staring back from the glass. The mirror image from another dimension another universe another person but is just the same as you. Same features, same characteristics, likes dislikes and favorites. Maybe even the same life. Parallelism is what it is. But you have no idea of the other’s existence. It’s just that, the magic of mirrors. They’re not just glass; they break and when that happens you can’t see your other self. You seem lost all of a sudden. Funny yet sad. You’re alone with the others without an entity like you. People say that everyone is unique; one in a million but deep inside they are afraid of it. Afraid of being unique, of being different. Why? Because it’s so cold being alone without someone just like you. Were all just living to find a perfect match; a wife, a husband, a partner, a lover. But really, it’s so much better to be alone. Buy a mirror. It’s cheaper.

  27. I love the reflection of my somber face in the water on this moonless, emotionless early morning. I have no reason for any more denials or regurgitating useless facts because I am dawning not a new person but the woman screaming to be free.

    Sophee
  28. We think back on our lives and reflect on who we are. We discover the type of person we are by reflecting on who we were to get to the point of who we are. The beautiful thing about this is that we all have our own special story, our own metamorphosis of sorts.

  29. When I think of reflection I think about what you see in the mirror. You can also see reflections when you look into a body of water. Reflections are everywhere but they mostly go unnoticed. Look around reflections can be seen in many places that are mostly unheard of.

  30. the mirror had an unusual reflection. it only reflected the male gender. women were’nt able to use it at all, which was ironic since it was only appealing to women. men would never want such a decorative mirror. hmm…

  38. reflection is the cousin of action. without reflection, teachers cannot approach their profession, their students, their craft critically. reflection need take the form of a dialogue, either amongst colleagues, personally, or with students and community. without reflection, we are simply involved in activism devoid of self-checking ideology.

  40. The reflection in the mirror was scary. “Oh my”. I thought in my head. How long was it ago before I shaved? I couldn’t remember anything, so I stopped thinking and worrying. I stepped into the kitchen and what I saw next was unbelievable. There was a dead body laying on the ground.
