As of recent, though, my family has been amazing! We have gotten very close and they have all been a huge blessing in my life!

  12. Relative. n. a person connected by blood or marriage. Relatives are people who help you through times of hardship. They are always there for you to lean on and they cant ditch you, because they’re family. Some people have alot of relatives and some dont have many. I really fail at this one word thing because I AM A SLOW TYPER AND IM RUNNING OUT OF TIME AND MS GREEN IS GUNNA KILL ME FOR TYPING THIS AHHHHH.

  13. When one thinks relatives, one thinks those related by blood. Not so for this poor girl. For her, that family was barely hanging together by a thin, taut thread. No, her true relatives, her true relations, were with friends who didn’t completely desert her after the biggest mistake of her life.

It was funny how the simple words of forgiveness and the line “I hate how they look at you” seems to make even just a little bit of the world seem right again. Those who held worry for her, who kept her in their thoughts out of concern, they were her true relatives.

And the Fae had never been happier for them.

My mom broke up with her sister a few years back so even my closest cousins (proximity-wise and blood wise) are no longer really associated with me. Its quite sad and that is something i regret. since Rene and i have began driving we have made an effort to fix the break but you know how it goes.

    Ellen

  23. My relatives are truly wonderful people. Everytime I see them I am reminded of how lucky I am to have such a great family, and tell myself to spend more time with them because I know many are nearing the ends of their lovely lifes. It’s a shame I keep putting it off because I know one day I am going to look back and regret not being as close to them as I would like to have been. But alas, that is life. I love you Grandma and Grandpa, I am sorry for my distance.

  24. relatives played a large role in the last century and continue to carry importance now. in the advent of world war, relatives birthed theories in time-space, psychology, and social consciousness, causing us to re-examine our existence as sentient beings.

  25. My relatives don’t really get along. I haven’t talked to my Dad’s side in about a decade. Thanks to a shitty can of worms that was recently opened up, I haven’t talked to my mom’s side either. Exception being my Uncle Tommy and my deceased grandma who I visit at the graveyard once a month. Sadness right there.

  26. I already did this word.
I already said all I had to say, but it was before I created an account and so it is floating out there like it has no relation to me or my mind or this name which represents me.

  33. They’re like whores on a dock when the new ship in port drops anchor.

    Or not.

Not all families are like parasitic leeches teeming with blood borne pathogens. But I believe that’s more “relative” than “relatives”.

  40. I have more relatives than I can count, so many relatives that I don’t even know all of their names anymore.
Family is supposed to be about love and community, but there comes to a point when there’s too many to even form a real community anymore. Living thousands of miles away, across oceans, doesn’t help, either.
But I have a lot of relatives. I’m just not sure if they’re related.
