Food. Divide between woman and work. No pick up. Just pick me up into a new routine. Would you like bread with that? Smile regardless. Thanks. You have a nice day.
Name
The restaurant is crowded busy, a cacophony of chats, spats, and the roar of a sport nobody is watching, the clink of silverware, and servers warning that the food is hot before they swirl around again to the next table, tray balanced carefully, pens lined up in their apron pockets.
No, not quite. There was an old woman in the corner — the same old woman who stopped by every Tuesday afternoon for tea — and a younger man typing feverishly at his laptop at one of the benches near the large front windows. Anupama wondered if he was a student at the local university.
S.V.
I used to love going to restaurants, but not so much anymore. Restaurants, the good ones, have gotten super expensive and the ones that have “reasonable” prices aren’t very good. So, there a few good ones at the top that are expensive and then there’s a huge bulk in the middle that are mediocre and then the last third are the fast food and chain restaurants. No thank you!
The restaurant was crowded, but they decided that it was worth the wait, even thoug they had to stand in a queue in the cold rain. But they talked and fooled around, got to meet other peple standing in the line with them, and when they got to the door, instead of a couple waiting for a table, the 8 people decided to eat together.

It was a dreary Tuesday, and the shop was empty.
