  2. Rewards are given to those who deserve them. UNLESS they happen to be employees of AIG, who drove the company into the ground by extending bad debt. Nevertheless, these employees still get rewarded. Or bonused. So perhaps the definition of these terms, or at least reward, should be changed.

  7. My reward for looking after her is my peice of mind. She’s still extremely unwell, in her mind, but those days she doesn’t cry are like peices of fried gold to me. My reward is distracting myself from my own soul-crushing mental turmoil by helping her.

    sometimes only a divine one at the end of our life, but we all long for it…

  9. a prize i get for doing the right thing. feeling good about doing something good in your eyes and not failing to be all that i can be. good things come to mind. a good heart. something given to those who do good even when no one is looking.

    but i fell asleep
    and before i knew it the assembly was over
    and I never got my reward for being the only person to never have fallen asleep whilst mr hendry was speaking.

  13. Reward something you get for a job well done. Something that makes yiu feel good. A reward is earned and a positive reflection of what you have accomplioshed. A reward can be self given or it can be given by persons who also see

  15. A reward is a prize for a job well done. But what if you didn’t deserve your reward, what then? Sadly you would still recieve your prize, for nothing.
    This happens a lot in the world – you get rewarded for doing nothing and the real heroes are ignored. So if no-one says well done to you , remember you are special.

  20. I have been rewarded for my stupid behavior the past few… or like 10… weeks. I’ve finally hit the stage where alcohol is like Satan, even more than my credit card. I rarely listen to my credit card, but alcohol? Yeah, I listened to that, thinking that I actually knew what I was doing.

  26. give me one i asked but he kept his hand to his side, unmoving like a stone. maybe he was made of that because i had not heard his heart beat in his arms that night and i had not felt his warmth in the heat of the moment that night and today he refuses to give his hand the way i gave mine and for that i cannot doubt he is anything but human.

  32. reward is what you get after you are done doing whatever it is that you are doing. often times, the reward is the only reason that you are doing something. other times, the reward is doing the things itself. this is when things are the best. when there is instant gratification because the instant that you are doing something is the same instant that you are rewarded for it

For the love of god, he had just SAVED THEIR LEADER – didn’t that mean ANYTHING to the people in the village? Yeah, he wasn’t asking for any medals or awards, but, hey, a simply ‘thank you
    would have been nice. Or even a smile. Or a nod -something, anything.
    But no. No, he was too…beneath them, for them to acknowledge him in such a manner, wasn’t he? After all, he was the ‘outsider’, the ‘disturber of the peace’, the ‘illegitimate child’…so why should he ever be given a reward?

  34. It seems as if I want to be rewarded for everything I have done when since I was young. Always wanted acceptance and love from everyone, but instead I had loneliness and unawareness from everything that I have done, the single greatest moment in life is when my name was finally recognized for everything that I have done for that school, and no one knew, everyone looked at me as if I never existed.

  37. It’s what I want when I do something good. Although doing something good is a reward in itself. I just want someone else to recognize the good that I’ve done. It doesn’t have to be fabulous or elaborate. A thank you is reward enough. Just some acknowledgment. That’s all. Nothing more or less.

  38. When I was a young boy, I was given a choice. I could have played sports or not played sports. I chose to become an athlete and I was rewarded with the gift of competitiveness which has never left me. I can’t live without competition. It is my cross to bear. It is my best and worst trait. I’m not sure where I would be if I allowed the world to pass me by without always striving for more. Nothing is good enough. I can not and will not settle. It haunts me in ways and rewards me in others.

  39. You do things. Sometimes you do them for a reward. And if you do often enough for the reward, you only start doing it for the reward enough of just doing it because you want to. So when the reward goes away, you eventually stop doing it.

  40. This is something that I have rarely had. I am slow to offer rewarding comversation. These days I am more apt to scream my point of view. I am not rewarded with any type of praise. Isn’t a reward soomething you get when you have done well. OK I get it, I have not done well.
