I was searching for this damsel. She was supposed to be in some kind of distress. But I saved her fromsome dragons and what nonsense. And then I took her to bed as reward.

People mostly do things for the rewards. Rewards are nice. They make you feel good in the end. Unless you did whatever just for the reward. Those people would probably called “greedy” though. But still a reward’s a reward. And it’s especially good if it’s money. But a trophy’s okay too. I’m not too picky.
Peter
Maybe there would be a reward. He’d hike to the local police station and see what they had to say. No one left this kind of money lying around. In this town, no one had that kind of money.
becky
reward is something that can be wither materialistic or emotional. A reward is something that shows you that all your hard work has paid of and no matter what the reward is for, you should revel in the feeling because that natural high doesnt last that long…embrace it.
lexei
i wish that life was full of rewards. everything in life is fucking ridiculous, and nothing good ever happens. those who deserve rewards, those who deserve to a good life, those who deserve recognition never get it. those who don’t deserve to die, those like izzy, the kind people in the world always leave us. why does it have to be this way? why do the good suffer? why does evil always prevail? is this how society is supposed to be?
jas
What kind of reward was this? A ribbon? A tiny blue ribbon for all the hours I have spent studying, reading, and not getting laid?! Well, not that I could get laid. But seriously, I knew this stuff like the back of my hand and sacrificed so many hours of personal time that could’ve been spent making friends. And all I got for it was this damn ribbon?
Amber
what you get when a job was done well… few people really understand what a reward is and what it means…
Ethan
My reward never arrived. After being the best person I knew how to be and following all of the rules of society I still came up on the loosing end. It seems it is true that life is not fair.
amy
You’re not a reward, regardless what you think. Although, you probably don’t see yourself as a reward anyway. I saw you once as one, but i’m confused now, i don’t know if your status has changed, only my dreams now it.
Brigis
I love to think about rewards, but I also worry that i should be more instrinsically motivated. I often wonder what kind of reward system actually works for people. There must be some science on that in regard to how people hook into a reward based on it’s accessibility and attainability as well as just the overall appeal. I have little regard for points programs etc. because they make my life more complicated wouldn’t it be great to be rewarded with a house dwarf like in Shrek 3 who would just show up grumpily at your door but would seamlessly take over all of your chores. no card to remember, nothing to cash in, no black outs to find out about. I also wonder how it works in a crime situation… how do the cops reward people who come forward with information. Do they have a scale to determine the worthiness of each clue?
MamaLou
incentive for people to do things that they might not have done otherwise. why am i doing this? what will the reward be? the reward necessary, whether physical or in the form of self-fulfillment, differs depending on the act that is needed to obtain it.
Amorn
there is a thing you get so you know what you recieved in life whichh you love and cherish but not like you wanted it just like omg i got something and thn you finally calm down but there’s nothing left anymore just you sitting there with this “thing” but what value does a “thing” really have for us? i don’t know but i wish i did because when i do i will see the light and the truth and the end of all that we need in life.

I gave her a little cookie for mowing the lawn. “I can’t eat this,” she said. I asked, was she allergic to nuts, and she said, no. She said no, no she wasn’t. And then the ran away from home for fifteen years. When she came back I never mentioned it, and when I found the cookie still intact in her backpack last week I felt the best thing would be to pretend that I hadn’t.

What is a reward? How do you get it? and If you get a reward, do you REALLY deserve it. I wouldn’t say every one does deserve one. Its probably just a motivation inducer. Gets people to do something, gives them an initiative.

as i snuck into his room and woke him with kisses he rewarded me by pulling be into bed with him.
He held me all night and wispered sweet things in my ear.
When morning came he was gone but the expieriance of the night was a reward worth being alone in the end.
I had never felt so special.
I thought he had left for good.
He returned with coffee moments later.
two years later, we’re still in love.

The dog looked up at me, with its head cocked to the side. It had sat, and it had stayed, and it deserved its reward. But somehow, though I held a treat in my hand, I knew I couldn’t give back to the dog what it had given me.
What a friend it was, when no one else was around!

I asked for the money but they wouldn’t hand it over. “The man’s lying there on the ground over by the courthouse”.
“No he’s not” said the sheriff. “He’s behind you”
I turned without a bullet left in the chamber

They say that reward is what you reap from success, and that rewards are something that you can gain from a job well done. well, reward in my mind doesn’t seem like much because if you think about rewards can be anything and it doesn’t even have to be material things.
Alan F.
Reward is awesome something you get when something happens that is good never get often it what you give yourself or something someone gives you never regret it what you did if you got it there are good and bad reward never a simple award actually no that is not true.

The reason she was here…was it to fish what she started, or to feel the cool breeze on her neck once again, that soft reward for all the troubles?
She didn’t know.
Elsa
you only get rewarded for the things that truely do to deserve it. If you do things in a way that you truely believe in then I hope you get your reward.
I don’t know what that reward will be but hopefully it’ll be special to you

it is all I ever wanted – ever dreamed of! so as each day trickles in an uncompromising sort of not trickling but raging rushing river like way, I lose my faith in the stream and watch as it floats and goes under and away.

one of the greatest rewards of being a mother is being a grandmother.

The reward was something he always looked forward to, unfortunately it never seemed to come. He had dreamt of the day that his hard toil paid off but for some reason nothing ever happened for him. The dreams were the worst and recently he had taken to not sleeping to avoid them. His name was luke and rewards had always been put there to torture him.
Mr Richards
Today my mother was supposed to reward me for doing all of my chores, and getting good grades in school. I had imagined about this award all day, while at school, thinking what she could have possibly got me. Many things went through my mind about this reward. When I finally got home, there was no reward.
Anna
The reward could be huge, he avowed. The truth is the best thing that he could get out of it, the truth about everything. he didn’t know how he would complete the task though. Well, he thought, all adventures need a mishap.

“And what’s the reward?” the bounty hunter asked, turning over his poisoned blade. He would never do any sort of job without one, that should be obvious. But this little noble lord did not seem to think so.
“My eternal gratefulness and gratitude,” he bellowed out into the hall. He expected a reaction of perhaps humility or respect, but not the large killer’s booming laugh.
“I work with gold, not your stupid thanks,” he chortled.

Going back to the hospital that almost killed me was hard to do. Same people, same wards, same colorful concoctions of drugs. At least the doctors would let me wear the white coats if i was good.

My reward is nothing compared to what I will one day receive in the gates of glory with my savior. Christ is all the reward I will ever need. I can not wait to finally reach his side at be able to hear him say job well done. A job well done…a word of praise from my king that will be my reward.

The end that justifies the means. The payoff. The pay if. The object. The cause. But is the reward the goal, or is the pursuit the reward?
Matt
