There once was a rocket that wish to fly, but every time he would try he would die and so he would try again and again until one day he did it. That was a great game took me awhile to beat it.
Dustin Stalls
every time i see you i seem to think about bright lights and fireworks bursting around me. and i feel like im rocketing out of your beautiful blue eyes.

Rockets fly into space passing stars and the moon. The rocket crashes and shoots directly through the moon which splits it in half. Green goo spills out of the moon which soaks the rocket and makes it heavy and it falls and falls until it hits a star and bounces to the ground.

the rocket is not out yet
I hate that I asked for this
and you were so nice to give it freely
I should have known why it was given so freely
Fuck you.

I wish I had a rocket, to escape from here. I wish I could fly away. Someone tie both my hands and feet to a rocket and send me to outer space, please. I don’t wanna be here anymore, ’cause my love is gone. And life isn’t worth living for.

Rockets represent man kinds attempt to get into outer space. To see the universe beyond our limited world. To truly experience what is out there, and not simply what is already here.

rocket! take me to the moons of saturn. i wanna picnic by the shores of Titan’s ethane oceans. I wanna see Saturn’s rings in the horizon…
rockets red glare; bringing me back to the fourth of july where i chauffeured and navigated you through tides of people – all my family members, but a mere collection of faces to you. they loved you, as i did. you played with the younger kids as i watched, smiling. it was like you already belonged, like you were assuredly mine. forever.

The rocket shot up into the air with the fury of a thousand suns. Where is it going we do not know. Somewhere far away from here, and probably better. i hope they tell of the world we are in now.
Jacob Kilburn
The rocket was an amazing invention that allowed us to see the Hubble deep field, land on the moon and do many other things. It also caused huge catastrophes, ie: Challenger Space shuttle.

The rocket flew past. Papers everywhere. Will you help me pick them up at least, love?
No.
Please?
No.
Okay.
Wanna come over tonight?
Sure.
sometimes I wish that I could fly a rocket to the stars,
never to return.
forget all my pain thats breaking me inside,
becuase for happiness I yearn.
I’m filled with pain, sorrow, want, need
tears that just won’t fall,
sometimes it’s way too much
I want to forget it all.
Sometimes I see the rocket waiting,
sure that i’m ready to leave.
But through the sound of my sobs I hear hhim.
calling, reaching out to me.
He doesn’t want me too leave,
he begs for me to stay.
and now he’s the reason why,
my world’s no longer gray.
Now I never wish to fly a rocket to the stars,
to Him I must return.
He makes me forget all the pain that’s breaking me inside,
And gives the happiness I yearn
hmm yum, rocket humous and chorizo pitta bread, definitely the bet part of my day…also lets take a rocket to the moon. And never come back? When did they first invent the rocket.
Mhairi
i like your rocket.
i wanna fire it up.
then woooshh
blast off
and you’re in outer space.

Fly into the sky, the dark night sky
Bright lights that blind me and
Chain me to the clouds
Exile me to the moon and take everything else.
I’ve been trying to fly to the moon on a paper balloon
what i’ve needed was something sturdy to lift me along
my destination is unkown
but I know I’ll get there because of you
Girl
its this thing that fles up so far into the sky where things exist that people have never seen and will never see in their whole lives. many of them dont even know what is out there, whereas the people in the rocket leave behind all that is old and comfortable to them and enter into a mysterious world of new discoverings.
Ariana
Looking down at the river from the top of my car gives me an intense dizzy feel, but the view of the vast, black sky is incredible from here. The length of our legs are as close as they can be to each other. The sky starts to change from black to orange. It is at this moment that I’m not sure if it’s sunrise or sunset; you hold onto me tightly and check your watch. “It’s 5:43. Happy Birthday.” You pull a cupcake from the bag you brought with. It’s the crudest thing I’ve ever seen, but then you stick a lit sparkler in the top and I can’t help but smile.
“Thank you, baby.”
when i saw the rocket go up . pushed forth from the water, i knew that we could have been better. As it flew higher and higher all i wanted to do was hold your hand, and as it came crashing down to earth right before me i knew it would never be.

Fly me to the moon. Please just take me there.

i once saw a picture of a rocket in a children’s book in the waiting room for the dentist. it was red and yellow, and it was an illustration in the middle of a story about a boy who dreamed of going on a space ship mission.

We watched as the rocket broke free from the bonds of gravity and like a phoenix, sped toward the heavens in a cloud of fire and smoke.
Rockets propel into the skies, dragging technology into the unknown world, outside our own. They provide insight, future and hope into the inhabitants of such a small area in a vast universe.
Josh
the rocket blasted off, and it was the loudest noise he had ever heard. but the pain in his ears was nothing compared to hurt in his heart. he would not see his lovely wife and beautiful children for months because of this mission. he would be helping nasa, he knew. but not even the greatest scientific discovery could heal the ache in his heart. part of him hoped he would fail, if only so he could return to earth and see his beloved family.
rocket man. one of my favorite elton john songs. he was one of the best musicians out there, and his music is so beautiful. it inspires me to write. i also love his song empty garden (hey hey johnny).
OMG A ROCKET <3333 I’ve always wanted to be an astronaut, for as long as I knew you could travel into space…but then I learned more about it, long time away from your family or those you loved, I knew I would have to sacrifice my want to fly to be with my future family….
She was like a rocket, shooting off into the unknowable depths of space. She was going to explore the untouched, raise the sky. Her destination was unknown, but she knew that it was higher and better than what she had now. Nothing could stop the power she had. The liftoff had been far too strong.
Yeah.
Rocket.
Yeah.
Right.
They always told him to shoot for the moon. They always told him that if he missed he would land among the stars. But that just didn’t happen. And truthfully, he believed that not even the swiftest, most powerful rocketship could get him out of this mess of a place.

I watched as the rocket misfired, sending the plume of orange flame spiralling and cavorting through the blue, until it erupted in a silent display of thunder and lightning.

Rock it, way-out kid!
What’s your configuration, scum-toe? What’s the inspiration? What’s your heart ticking?
i would love to have a rocket attached to my shoes. I would be able to walk to places so much quicker. But i suppose it could be dangerous. Oh well. It would be cool!

Man, it seems, has always had an insatiable desire to make our mark everywhere. From scratching our name in rock to flying to the moon. This time, we have technology and have learned to bend the laws of gravity, but it’s all the same. We don’t want to be forgotten, so we put our flags on moons and leave footprints, in hopes, I suppose, that something will outlive us.
