  2. i am a romantic. it’s true. i am in love with the world on a daily basis. i love everything most of the time. hahah.. doesn’t sound very romantic though does it? i enjoy things that are considered to be romantic and enjoy the subtleties of dating, relationships and love.

  3. Romantic. What did it mean to be romantic? In today’s society it had become a cliche. Romance was something in the movies; scenes becoming unrealistic expectations. The truth is in the relationship, not those love-at-first-sight moments, not in the cheesy words scratched on paper, not in the unreal. It was in the experiences, experiences yet to be had.

  4. I wish more romantic stuff happened to me, but it hasn’t and probably won’t for a while. I’ve decided that I’m just not the kind of person that romantic stuff happens to. People say that you have to make love happen, stop waiting for romance to strike, but I’d rather have it hit me unexpectedly than to go out into the world and force it.

  5. Lovely, the very first word they give me is one I wouldn’t touch with a ten-foot pole right now… But that defeats my purpose, doesn’t it? So…

“This place is lovely, Metis. How did you find out about it?”

“Oh, you aren’t the first guy I’ve brought here for a romantic dinner, Ken.”

  6. Maybe she was a hopeless romantic. She couldn’t help staring out the window on blustery, early spring days. She couldn’t help sighing her life slowly away, living in dreams.

  7. romantic wolf; my heart is more rotten than a planet’s dark spot. I spill over in the scent of biological chemicals. I am not more than a wound, a sick, a worm.

    Megan
  8. his romance roams
    meadows blossoming
    across her linger.

  9. There was always something romantic about the way her breath fogged windows. “There is more to this, another dimension I can’t see.”, she thought. The air, it talked to her, sensed her. She felt it on warm July nights, when her small frame was folded under the sheets, the curve of her back wet with perspiration.
Colbie turned her face to the window, to the fleeting clouds and abundant grasses that made up her world.
“There is something more, past my line of perception, and I have yet to make the glasses to map it out.”

  10. I have never known a man to be truly romantic. Sure they buy you flowers and take you out to dinner, but they don’t truly seem to enjoy it. The sappy movies we love are taboo to a strapping young man.

    Kim
  11. Ashley, she is the most beautiful and romantic person I’ve ever met. So I try my very best to be even more romantic to her to prove that she isn’t making a big mistake.

    Henry McCall
  12. Romantic: hopeless romantic; love LoVe lOvE; everyone should have romance in their lives it makes each day brighter; getting those butterflies in your stomache when you see a certian person always makes my heart flutter

  13. Candles. Acceptance. Wanting. Roses. Lacking. Needing. Sly smiles. Using.Touching. Heartache. Hand holding. Deeper conversations with me.

  14. I make images that are romantic, or so I am told. It isn’t me, its the light or the image that takes on a romance to distance itself from me, or from the rest of us. Humans are not romantic. We’re clumsy fragments of life that want for nothing but a bit of light and a whisper to hold our secrets.

  15. Is nothing but a world , people are romantic because they want to be with a girl they dont really mean to be romantic only people that are married are ROMANTIC well some of they arent.

    Lara acosta
  16. I never thought myself to be the romantic type. When you had me, all I ever did was be, well, un-romantic. I didn’t want to hold you, or kiss you, or stare lustfully at you. All I wanted was for my best friend to come back. I’d rather him, than this romantic man.

  17. there was a romantic film that was very anoying even for a chesy girl that dont want to believe in love never again. Then when there was the kiss scene she went to the screen and screaming throw her popcorn bucket. She was not in mode for happy endings. Not anymore.

    Marco Portes
  18. I really haven’t had much experience with romance, because I haven’t had a boyfriend in a long time. It’s crazy, when I saw this word, I just thought about that. I think romance is really common in pieces of literature likee poems, essays, play, etc. I actually like how the word is said. It really actually sounds romantic.

  19. You’ve got to be kidding. That word just makes me want to puke right now. Romantic? How? What is that? Stop with this nonsense. We’re friends. You love her, never me. I’m sorry I made you feel guilty. I’m sorry I love you.

  20. Pink was everywhere.Roses decorated every corner.A table covered with a creamy white cloth set with silver plated utensils, scented candles and porcelain plates sat in the centre of the room.

“Oh Danny,I would love to marry you!”chirped the happy girl, unaware of the impending situation.

    Danny swore under his breath.

He knew he was going to hell for this.

  21. What can I say? I’m a hopeless romantic. I want the flowers, the compliments, the glitz and glam. I mean what girl wouldn’t? I want a man to treat me like his little princess and spoil me rotten. The sunsets, candle-lit dinners, movie nights by the fireplace, dancing and kissing in the rain, having snow a fights in the winter. I want anything and everything I can get that’ll make me feel like the best girl in the world<3

  22. Oh, how romantic. The boy and the girl are in love. He buys her pretty things and she cheers at all of his games. Isn’t that all romance is anymore, anyway?
    But where is the love?

    Kaylyn
  23. roses, weddings, beach, sea, dinner, husband, marriage, dress, rings, veils,

  24. Romance is thematic. Waterfalls, stars, and flowers delivered in surprise. Romance is often what you might get in place of some other emotion (surprise, fear, etc.) but when given by a person favorably. Similar to how the tickle response is actually a form of pain. If someone is romantic, then they need to develop a series o

  25. Every time I feel a breeze caress my cheek, I close my eyes and wish it was your hand. I want to lay against your chest, in your arms, and feel your heart beat. I don’t care what the world says, what they want…you are the only thing that would matter. Someday, someday. That’s what I tell myself. One day my prince will come, and I hope that will be you. Why I want this so much, I don’t think I could put it in words. Why I do think about you so much, why can’t I just move on? I don’t have an answer, I just do. Maybe this is just a phase, a fleeting spell that one day I will look back on in wonder. I may just be crazy…that is entirely possible. But you. I can’t forget about you. I don’t want to. I miss you. I have to keep believing that things can be, that they will find a way. Our story can’t be over…I know it could be so much more if only it was given another chance.

  26. romeo and juliet were romantic because they loved each other. i want romance. i feel that romance is only in the movies. i need romance in my life right now. i love songs about romance. they make me so happy

  27. I hear the word ‘romantic’, and my mind instantly wanders to boxes of chocolate hearts, flowers and expensive wines; to walks in floral gardens just basking in the moonlight and the crispness of the air; the clichés. I think of orange-infused kisses and impromptu performances of Disney Classics; the way the sun shines through the gaps in the forest’s ceiling on the first day of summer; sharing ice-cream and secrets on the beach. When I hear the word ‘romantic’ I think of all this, though I also think of love. But most importantly, I think of her.

  28. no one knows how romantic rocks can be. They have this solid shape that suggests permance and commitment. So if you pile a tower of rocks at your beloved’s feet, they will know that you are serious, and they can’t fail to find your rocks very romantic. If you throw rocks at your lover, that is not romantic. So don’t get confused. Just assemble them carefully, and your fantasies of love will come true. Don’t call your lover a rock head. That is not a compliment. You don’t want to confuse rocks with humans. Rocks have limited charms. But at least they can make an evening sing with romance, and that’s more than your lover can do, because they can’t sing.

  29. Love. Admiration. Feelings. Warmth. Inside, outside.. anywhere and anytime. Love! Love is a feeling deep in my veins that makes my head spin like a top. Like a leaf falling from a tree in my stomach my heart drops!

    Andrea
  30. Soft pale pink lips, roses on a first date, holding the door open for your date. These are the things that are truly romantic. A subtle hint of sexy with a pale undershading of innocence. Like a warm first kiss on the cheek from your childhood crush, romance doesn’t have to be about the large things. It’s the small things that count.

  31. Josh likes Maddy. I like Josh. I have from day 1. “This nice girl is trying to get to her locker.” I felt so happy after that. He’s the reason I wake up happy and carefree in the morning. Now that he likes Maddy… I just don’t know. What will happen next?

    Emily
  32. When I met my husband 30 years ago, it was attraction at first sight. Our friendship and relationship turned out to be the most romantic one, I believe, in history, I kid you not!

    Jen
  33. Romantic? Really? My marriage has just ended, I am craving attention like crazy, can’t seem to find it…and when I finally want to take some refuge in writing, the word I get to inspire me is romantic? Fate is definitely against me.

    Ashley
  34. Some people are born romantic, some not. Me personally am a kiss-in-the-rain, head-over-heels kinda gal even though my boyfriend does not know a single thing about romance. Is it ok to be with someone who isn’t as romantic as you? Should we all be matched up with someone exactly compatible? All of these lead to larger questions that I can’t be bothered answering.

    Anya Zalokar
  35. yes indeed he was a romantic, but that was far from the reason why i liked him so. i am really not much for romance… not something i need or desire, want or crave, i’m just here to play with his mind.. make him feel confident. hopefully not take it all away in the end..

  36. there was a sweet song in the air,
    crisp, fluent, a
    mystery. the trees stripped
    ocher, smoke
    swimming between branches.
i sat in the cold, for hours
    hoping it could
    make me beautiful.

  37. What if I didn’t want romantic. What if that’s not what I needed. I didn’t need a romantic gesture to know that you cared. I didn’t need anything but you.

  38. roman. titanic. love. booty call. my booty call. where is he? I want him to call. I wish he would do something romantic. I don’t nesscarily like him like him, but I do believe he could be romantic if he tried. I just want a nice coffee house date. Wouldn’t that be nice? Romanic.

    Yasmin
  39. Romantic-comedies are just made up to give hope to all the loners out there so they won’t kill themselves. Love is just a fairytale and it’s hard to find. You might think that the guy or girl you’ve been having a lot of fun with is the one, but what you don’t know is that he or she is living a whole another life you don’t know about.

  40. a single thought was running through my mind
    /I love you/.
i whispered it softly, in the dim light of the hallways.
    /i love you/
it seemed to echo around me, bouncing off the tile on the walls
    /i love you/

i just wish there was someone there to listen.
