  1. The word roof looks odd; I mean think about it. Write it out. R O O F. Doesn’t seem right, does it? But the problem is Roough doesn’t look right, doesn’t sound right, neither does rof, roef, or rofe. In the end I think the double o is just odd.

I’m really tired…too tired to think of something clever about the word “roof.” The only thing I can think of is a book I read where they named their baby Rufus but called him Roof (spelled that way) for short. Not too interesting. The book itself was okay, pretty good except I’m not a huge fan of babies or things about babies.

  29. When i was a child my parents fixed our leakey roof. We used many pots and pans to hold the drips from all the leaks then one day we callled a roofer to fix the leaks. By the time he had fixed the leaks it was summer and we couldn’t tell if it was working or not.

  30. there’s a roof above my head. sometimes i feel it is the most permanent thing about my life. everything else seems to be variable: will i see tomorrow, will i be able to find what i need to make my life worthwhile, while any of it matter? it doesn’t seem like much to other people, but it means more to me than i could possibly explain.

  34. the top of the roof was red.. i wanted to jump because it made me angry but then i looked to the sky and saw it was blue. that made me sad. mmy willing to to jump frightened me. but i was so taken by the blue sky that i took a seat…. shed a tear. and ate a cookie.

  39. I like rooftops in the summer time. One of the places I spend the most time at is the roof of the student union while at work. I like to spy on people walking below and laugh or cry. Don’t let them know that, though. We all spend so much time and money trying to be normal in college.
