  1. The Root of all things, the starting point. That’s what I started out looking for, somewhere along the way my view got skewed. Religions and politics got involved and I found myself choosing between the highest bidder. I found myself the spokesperson for divine intervention, something I have never believed in on my own

  3. Root Canal. The drill will go deep, like digging for diamonds. I raise my head. Gently, I am lowered, getting suction, I am gagging, the drill is getting to me. I wanted to get out of the vaulted chair. Dental gloves grip the drill, going to the root of my missing tooth, spitting more blood until the dentist says, “You are all done”.

  12. The root vegetables offer the most nutrients when juiced and blended with fruits, because otherwise no one would willingly ingest them. This is the localvore’s version of waterboarding–veggie juicing.

  13. To get to the root of the problem. Start in the middle and work outwards. Does the problem unravel? Find a way to sort it. Get to the root. Is it too difficult? Try asking somebody else for advice if all else fails.

  18. root. The root of the problem. People dye their hair and worry about their roots. I don’t dye; don’t wanna. But I would like to have a purple cast to my hair. I’ve seen that and need to be bold enough to ask the woman how she did that. I like the radio show American Routes, but for a long time, thought it was American Roots.

I have two computers, one sucks, so I throw away one computer and now I only have one computer. but where does one throw away a computer, aren’t they supposed to be recycled and reused until they turn into roots? roots of new trees that grow computers? that’s impossible though. a computer, most computers, my computer they don’t really get all the way recycled. so since I have two I’m twice the trouble.
