A silk or wool knit item worn around the neck (and sometimes around the face in winter) to either keep someone warm or to accessorize an outfit.

The scarf was so lovely – it had red, white and blue stripes. It was on the head of a wonderful person – my mother. It matched the rest of her very lovely outfit. Shealways wore it to church. This was one of the many scarfs that she always wore. I hope to keep it and save it for my grandchild. She also liked hats – then she would wear the scarf

I had a scarf yesterday, then lost it somewhere in the rain as it fell down around me. Somewhere in a small puddle lies my scarf. Unfortunately, I can’t find the puddle…so I can’t find my scarf. I don’t know what I’ll do without it. What will keep my neck warm when the cold winds come?

A scarf is a versatile item – colorful, handy and adaptable to many styles. What would riding in a convertible be without a scarf? How about that trek into the woods or hiking – one must have a scarf around the neck or tied as a head-band. Scarfs make wonderful belts or sashes. If a scarf is large enough, it can be worn as a shawl for cool evenings or just as an adornment. I like to braid several silk scarfs and wear as a necklace. In summation, one can’t have too many of these handy items.

I ran up to the scarf and barf (Mc Ds) and got a bag full of nasty cheeseburgers, and stuffed them into my pie hole until I puked them all back out! Damn, McDonalds food is nasty!!! And why do all of the idiots that stuff that crap into their bodies all throw the trash out of their cars? Effin’ pigs!!!

I always wore a scarf when I was a kid. I had to because I walked a long way to get the school bus in the wintertime. Without my scarf it would have felt much colder. These days I don’t wear one anymore. I don’t know why, I just don’t. I used to wear one of those kerchiefs on my head when I was young but they are no longer in style. I’d look like an old country woman wearing one of those things. I still have a couple in my drawer but there they will stay.
ves they are warming and beautiful – some are silk, others wool, still others, nylon. You can play blind woman’s bluff or kinky games with them – they titillate your fancy – and even kill – remember the dancer whose scarf got caught up in a wheel while driving down the road – she was asphyxiated in her seat – my father brought back some beautiful scarves from the middle east – I barely remember them but can remember vibrant reds and blues – I loved those scarves, wearing them whenever I could – I used to where them in my hair – not the ones from Saudi Arabia – but from the local five & dime – they really jazzed up a hair style – those times are gone but barely forgotten.

The scarf around his neck was red; a bright, vivid red that contrasted greatly with his pale skin, black hair, and dark clothes. It made him stand out amongst the crowd of gray-clad pedestrians. I smile and make my way toward him.

I found a scarf in the cupboard and I remembered where I bought it. We were travelling through the Mediterranean and I bought it in Gibraltar where we were visiting. A beautiful scarf flowed from the neck of the lovely little girl as she walked through the snow. She enjoyed kicking the ground covering from side to side and even though she did not have her boots on, she felt good because the scarf lifted her emotions and made her feel good about herself. It also added a touch of elegance to her otherwise shabby winter coat. But, of course, she was too young to actually think about such mundane things. She happily went her way, enjoying the lovely snowflakes as they fluttered in front of her and, of course, onto her lovely scarf.

I wear a neck scarf sometimes when it’s cold. I never wear a scarf on my head. Head scarves were popular with my mother’s generation and I suppose she had my sister and I wear them. But I hated them. A scarf on the head, tied under the chin reminds me of stocky, old world peasant women. It also reminds me of different religions that require women to cover their heads. I remember going to church with friends, my father was an athiest and so were the rest of us I guess. But I was curious. So I went. I must have been a buddding women’s libber even very young, because I remember resenting having to cover my head. The men didn’t have to cover their heads. And now, I think of burkas, and the inferior position of women in moslem countries. So scarves just conjure up hostility in me.
