i like wearing a scarf in the winter to keep my head warm
rayna
I thought I had lost it forever. That item of comfort given to me by may grandmother so many years ago. When I think back to the days of walking to school in the dark, cold and wet, it is my scarf that I remember the most. I had a warmth that extended beyond its fibers and fabric. It had the love of my grand mother knitted into it.

I don’t know much about scarves. I can’t wear them at all. I have no sense of how to wrap them so that they look elegant. When I wear them, they look like ties or winter scarves. I admire women who know what to do with them, though. This reminds me of Gladys Salame, the former selectwoman from Templeton who died about five years ago. Man, could she wear scarves. And all the time! Beautiful, bright colors and she knew how to tie them. She wore them to every meeting. I think she reminded me a bit of Bella Abzub (spelling?), the feminist, who always wore a hat to every event. That’s another thing. I don’t wear a hat either. But I guess that’s a whole other story.

I have a gorgeous, soft, fluffy scarf that I made myself. It’s sparkly and pink and white. And I have one my sister made for me–super soft and lightweight. It’s soooo warm, and it means a lot because it was made with love. I made scarve last year for friends, sisters, and my mother. I kept finding variations of yarn combinations that I wanted to try, so I just kept making scarves. I have a whole box full of them!

This is a tool that keeps people from cold, it is worn on the neck. I don’t use scarfs, I actually never used it before. I didn’t try it but I like to try one. I love cold more than hot but I don’t love very low temperatures as well. My country doesn’t have snow often but people still wear scarfs sometimes. That’s all.

That flashy item that can warm you and so set your style in place. A scarf can be a warm woolen headscarf that your Mom insists you wear to keep your ears warm and to avoide ear aches or it can be the floaty touch of film that adds a sexy or seductive touch to an evening or romance. It can be the red bandana of cowboy hisory or the flannel one used to identify school colors and look sharp on the ski run.

Scarf can have two meanings at least. One being a fabric wrap to be worn around the neck. Secondly it can mean sneaking something away as in ” scarffed” a cookie. Think it also is a geological term, but have no idea of that meaning.(if any)

The blood was wiped up, scrubbed up, and gone. The carpet was rolled and next to the door for the arrival of the boys with the van. The weapon had been mailed to uncle in alaska.
The van arrived. After on look around, he was sure no one would see anything to implicate him in a crime…..
he didn’t see the scarf, hanging over the bathroom door….she always went into the bathroom after arriving home from the 50 minute drive from work.
And he didn’t know that her sister coveted that scarf…..
