I remember my mom wearing scarfs in the 60’s. You know that big hair had to be protected from the Kansas wind! I also remember as a kid she would tie a scarf over her head and face after she put on her makeup-if she was going to put a pull over on, she didn’t want to ruin her makeup!!!

Constricting and straining my neck to breathe cold air. This just ain’t worth it. I want more Florida.
Chris Torma
The scarf is something people in Old England wear, and I’ve seen some people in Massachusetts wear them too. I don’t wear a scarf, ’cause it’s just so darn hot! It’s too darn hot, as the old song goes. What actress was that who sang that song? I wonder. Well, I do knit, and I’ve made a scarf before, but I never know when to stop knitting…when is a scarf a scarf?
Gregory
i used to knit scarves for those i love. now i barely pick up my knitting needles. they lie somewhere in a filing drawer in my desk. i just want to find someone to knit for for. so far, i have no one. i want someone with a cold neck

I think of Muslim women that must wear them outside. They are underused here in the U.S. as they used to be a great accessory item for color and fashion.

Beautiful, colorful, soft and sometimes fragrent. Used to adorn a beautiful woman who prefers not to be wind blown. The fabric can be soft cashmere or a willowy satin. Any fabric can be used as a scarf and any scarf can be used to adorn many things. Wonderful memories of scarves can be conjured up from past moments in time.

There was a red, white, blue scarf blowing in the wind at the end of the day at the beach. All have gone home, wet; tired and hungry, to get rest and planned to return in the morning for another day at the beach.
George
I have a blue scarf. It was a present from a very special friend. She is gone now, and every time I wear the scarf, I think about her. I guess what it says to me is that someone isn’t necessarily gone if you remember them, and the scarf helps me to do that. It is cashmere, soft and warm, and cheers me up just to look at it–it doesn’t go with anything I own really, but that doesn’t matter. I don’t wear it because it matches my other clothes, I wear it to remember my friend.

A scarf is a piece of cloth you tie around your neck, normally so you don’t get cold. I have friends who wear scarfs even when it’s hotter than hell. I can’t stand it, it makes _me_ sweat. But then, that’s life, I suppose.
