  6. I have a red, white and blue scarf that I wear around the 4th of July. I wish I knew how to tie it better than I do. Some ladies are so creative. I don’t do it in a bow, just a fancy knot and let it fly in the breeze

  7. A scarf is a cloth around the neck, but it also describes how I eat at times, i.e. I scarf down junk food. I think scarf also might refer to a geologic formation, but I’m not sure. So, while I’m at the scarf, wearing a scarf, I can scarf down some popcorn!!

I like to wear my scarf, it is pretty and red, just like the cardinals that come to our bird feeder in the spring. I never saw my mother go out in the cold winter weatherwithout her scarf. When I grow up, I shall insist that my children never leave the house without their scarves.

  13. It looks like this is the only word that people have the choice to write about: scarf. Usually, when people hear the word ‘scarf’ they think of the piece of clothing. But not me! I think of ‘scarf up the money’ or ‘he scarfed up the meal worm in disgust.’ Or something funky like that.

The bus would arrive at any time now, but until then she would have to hold her baby close to her for warmth, and nuzzle the infant close to the fringes of her scarf to keep her warm.

  15. a scarf can be a fashion statement or a great comfort in the cold of winter. There is nothing cozier that snuggling a scarf around your collar and braving the winter elements. Scarves can be worn around one’s waist as a belt.

  16. I remember my first scarf. It was a red plaid. I wore it flung over my shoulders. It was the COOL thing to do in the 1950’s. Everyone had one. In fact…I still have mine. I bought it out last winter and actually wore it. Everyone wanted to know where I got it from.
