once upon a time i was wearing a lovely green and red scarf. it had spots on it and stripes also. it reminded me of a zebra who had been drinking a strawberry margarita with a slice of lime on the side. he was sitting at a mexican restaraunt wearing a lovely sombrero and discussing watching television with his friend barry the giraffe. they really liked each other. in fact the zebra liked him as more than a friend, but unfortunately barry was married and didn’t feel the same way..

warm, liked to knit them, make them soft and colorful, for men and women, mice for pets too, buffalo, ny snow, fashion, France Lyon… that’s where they make silk ones,.. incredible… hide a multitude of sins for certain neck types, dresses up an outfit, fashion, is the minute up yet?

I saw the scarf get picked up by a gust of wind. Here was my chance to introduce myself to her and earn some points by saving her neck attire from the ravages of the city. I leaped from the bench where I was sitting and darted after the red and white striped fabric as it whipped it’s way toward the street.

The scarf was meant for her. It was going to be a gift for this upcoming christmas.. but, we’ve since fallen apart from each other. Neither of us have even tried to salvage what semblance of a relationship we once had. It’s just not important anymore.

Scarf – the first thing that I really learned to knit. They’re warm and comfy and the equivalent of a hug in the winter – but if you’ve knitted it yourself then it’s a hug that you’re giving yourself. I particularly like the feeling of “wrapping up warm” which indicates winter and snow to me – speaking as an englishwoman, we don’t often have winters severe enough to warrant a scarf, so I relish them when we do.
Annie
a scarft is something is is nice and warm i got a scaft from my friend for my b-day and it was black and grey. the two colours that i like most. In the summer htere are lighters scarves now too I dont knwow hwat it is but its weird. i think scarves should only be warn in the winter and not in the summer. Who ever came up with that fashion trend really should be shot. But you have to give them a prop. I mean how many people wear it now days.

The red and blue knit scarf was wrapped tightly around her neck and face as the wind blew fiercely from the east. Jenny stumbled a little in her heels as she tried to find some shelter from the growing storm. She wrapped her long black trench coat around her tighter and ducked into a street cafe, one she had passed by a million times on her way to and from work but had never seen. She inhaled a sigh of relief in the glowing wooden warmth of her new surroundings and the aroma of coffee in the air. The scarf dropped gently onto her shoulders and Jenny began to breathe more easily. Looking back out the two broad windows in the front of the cafe, at the blue gray and white seen out there, she was happy to have found a place to warm up, perhaps catching the next bus home. Little did she know that this simple decision would change her life forever.

I live in Mississippi where scarfs are all about fashion not function. After all, we don’t need scarfs to keep us warm. We need scarfs to look cute. I can’t think of owning a scarf that I have actually owned for keeping warm. In fact, the only scarf I can actually remember is a snowman scarf my husband gave me for Christmas. I think he was running out of time shopping.

I tied the scarf around my neck and braved myself for the cold that was awaiting me. I had done this countless times before but I could feel that tonight would be different. Perhaps it was because this would be my first time showing someone else what I have come to regard as my soul.

She had it around her head as she walked down the county road. It was the dead of winter and the scarf was her only protection. She was on a mission for God! She was saving the one person that she loved. He was her son and his cough was far worse than last night. She had to find the doctor.

Scarves are exciting creatures, made of wool, rayon, and possibly silk. If you own a silk scarf, you must be hoity-toity and no one will like you. I’m sorry, but the selection of scarf you choose really reflects your personality. For instance, snooty old ladies who like to pretend that they have grandchildren who love them wear woolen scarves with designs of daisies and other such repulsive things.

Just today I bought a scarf-bandana, but I’m going to use it as a cloth handkerchief because Kleenex just don’t do it when I’m crying. How about that for planning ahead? Do I think I’m going to be crying sometime soon?
Scarves have gone out of style except for elderly ladies who still remember their mothers always wore a scarf on windy days or in the rain. We give away our age when we wear one, that’s for sure. Now the scarf is really a flashy item of apparel that adds a bit of splash to an outfit, bt it’s definitely not a square scarf, more like a long, narrow rectangle.

Billowing in the wind, perfectly swaying heartflet brezes. I once owned one, though it blew away. One dream I have lost yet again. If only, I think, if only the memories of that day became clear once more. When we were together, and nothing could tear us apart. But the threads are now bare, and our lives are no longer intertwined.
