  9. I pressed the shift button but it wouldn’t work. My computer was turned off. I was typing on a blank screen. It was only then that I realized this because I had just awoken from a daze-like stage of sleep. I had been sleep walking again.

  12. old manual typewritter sitting in a tobacco stained room. My grandfather was a newspaper man back when it meant something to be that. The heirlooms of his time there were this room stacked with yellowing stacks of LA times and the underwood. after his death i tried to lay claim on it, wanting it in the hovels I would live in but I was denied.

  14. theres a button on my computer called shift. i never got why shift meant the upper case letters were suppose to be shifted. why not shift the lower case ones. i wish there were more shift buttons though, like couldnt there be a double shift button

  32. Sometimes I feel like I’ve been through a shift in time. Though everything seems normal, things are just a bit off-kilter and I’m never sure if it’s real or a dream, or something else all together. Can it be?

  33. The shift key allows me to type letters in uppercase. Then again, the caps lock key allows me to do the same thing. It’s better to use the shift key if you are only capitalizing one letter, but if you need to yell at another person over the Internet, you would use the caps lock key. Remember that yelling is considering impolite, though, so use the caps lock key wisely.

  37. I rarely use this button. I do not know why. I guess in the long run it’s easier. But we are human and in this day and age we like to make life more complicated then it needs to be. So I along with millions of others waste time hitting caps on then caps off. We do not know why. We just do it.
