  1. As we boarded the ship and said our final goodbyes, we never thought that they would be as final as this moment proves them to be. Sinking, we wallow in all we have done wrong, and the knowledge that never will we again have the chance to fix it. To fix anything. Here is the end, here we are.

  7. The ship tossed around in the paleness of night. Like a tiny body thought to be no harm, it was rocked perilously close to many a rock and reef. Perhaps tonight will be the night the fragile body will break, or maybe it will live for just a bit longer in the paleness of night.

  15. for sailing to the land of dreams and for sending love in a box- tissues paper perfumed with the scent of desire. Cold and damp, wind always present, a liminal space between air and sea, a vessel of change, a reason to sing, a place to forget something.

  16. I am on a ship headed for the middle of nowhere. There are many people on the ship. Also, goods on the ship are being shipped somewhere. I don’t know where. 23. The ship looked simply regal from the port, but its magesty was lost in the terror that milled around it. Women and children screamed as their husbands and husbands were torn away to be led to their quarters. Boys wondered around with blood on their hands, and wonderous looks on their faces, finally seeing what nobody was meant to see.
It was the end of the world, and the ship was our last hope.

He didn’t know, but I did. His child was inside me, and he was leaving. War, adventures, and I was stuck here.
No one knew it but me, but that’s what I was angry about. Not that he was gone. I was jealous. Couldn’t I have an adventure, too?

she knew that one day, it would be her returning on the ship, herself returning out to sea
herself living on the breath of the wind
