  4. The ship tossed back and forth on the sea as it ragged in fury, and the crew ran, struggling, to get into position. Captain McDrew yelled out orders. But Perry, who was in the crows nest, had trouble hearing and tilted his head down as much of his neck would allow without falling. The only thing that reach his ear was the shrill cry of the wind and thunder in the distance.

Yet the captain, standing with his feet firmly planted, looked about him at his men; some were getting tossed across the deck and others gripped onto something steady. But the water crashed, leaped, and pounded against all sides; and the salty foam sprayed everyone in the face.

  11. There was a ship that was sailing out in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. It was surrounded by water. In that water there are many creatures that man has yet to discover. Thinking we only know about 1% of the species in the oceans of our own planet, and we have yet to reach the bottom of some of its areas, don’t you think we should finish exploring here on Earth before we go deeper into space? I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to be on that ship.

  13. Ship out. It’s not like you’re being forced out; you’re being shipped out. It’s not that we don’t want you here. It’s just that you need to go. Ship out. It’s time to move on. There are other places and there are other people. You’ll be fine where you’re going.

  14. I am a sinking ship of terrible decisions. Was it Kundera who said we can only choose one path, and we don’t know which one is right until we have already chosen the wrong one? I love you and I just want to tell you. I am unbearably heavy.

  15. I rode the ship down to the harbor where a boy was waiting for me. He was to be my husband though I had never met him. My parents said that his family was of a good name but I still had my qualms about the arrangement. I hoped I would be happy.

  18. Ship can mean a sailing vessel or to send something to someone (as in shipping and handling charges) They probably got that meaning from it because they used to send stuff by boats a lot, but now we have planes too.

  19. There was a ship on the sea and it carried a very lonely man. He crashed and took what he could of his ship to the mainland. First it was used as shelter, then later he used it to build a fire. Now there is no more ship, and the lonely man is wishing he were dead.

  22. Ships are filled with nothing more than people, and their cargo has nothing to do with any of us. We don’t really see it, or know where it came from other than the fact that it could just possibly be there with all of these people walking around but never escaping into the sea where, deep below, we are never entirely sure of what will bite us. It could be that we’d drown before then, anyway.
