“Where are you last Friday, nine o’clock in the evening?” The man in a brown leather jacket questioned.
“At home,” I replied, “getting rest.”
“Do you have anyone who can prove it?”
“No.”
“Then no factual alibi,” the man turned the desk lamp, and now the bright light hit me directly. “Fibres of your clothes in the crime scene, someone who looked just like you was caught by the security camera.”
I knew very well that could never be me, but I could not help shaking.
“Who else could it be?” his glare now sharp, sending shivers down my spine.
That night when I was probably talking to her for the last time, I felt something. That was the first time I was shivering. I wasn;t feared tbh, it wasn’t hatred. I was the sense of letting something go. Someone I truly care about.
