  4. It really didn’t require any thought when Irvine stayed behind to let the others escape. Just because they didn’t remember him didn’t mean that he had no obligation to help them. Besides, they were just Galbadian soldiers and all he ever really needed was a rifle and the image of Sefy smiling at him when they set off the fireworks.

  10. ack! Never have been much for shootouts…but alas, I am the mom to five boys. Shootouts happen regularly around here. So far no serious injuries. The most interesting thing of late is that my son is stalking our neighbor’s dog with his boy and arrow. That’s okay? Right? It’s a pretend bow, no sharp arrows.

  16. What an interesting word, umm. I guess I think of like, a liquor store being robbed by like 3 gunman saying, “this is a shootout!” then the people getting down and the cops coming and shooting the robbers down. I wonder how often that actually happens, probably more frequently than I think. Sad world we live in nowadays I guess.

  23. When I think of shoot out, I think of a policeman just trying to do his job and caught in a terrible moment…harkening back to the OK COrral and shoot outs in the Wild West that happened with frightening frequency and didn’t seem to create a stir.

  25. I don’t even see a word. Why don’t I- Oh. It’s shootout. That reminds me of that one time my house got shot at -or so it sounded like- and I was talking to Jer. I said “I think someone just shot a gun off here” and he freaked out more than I did. He said “OH MY GOD CALL THE COPS” and I was like “meh no nothing else is going on so yeah” and he got pissed at me.

  37. i think that a shootout would be scary as hell – it’s not the kind of situation I ‘d do well in. It would be pure luck if I won – by that I mean I wasn’t shot dead and I suceeded in shooting the other guy. Of course at the point it wouldn’t be a hunky-dory situation.
