  2. Smoothies are yummy. I like to make them with yogurt and fruit. My daughter likes when I make her smoothies. We slurp them together. Slurping smoothies is a lot of fun. I sometimes put veggies in them like kale or spinach. I don’t like when I can taste the vegigies.

  3. We sipped our smoothies and let our eyes wander around the diner, neither of us really sure what to say. Finally, Hailee looked up with a mischievous glint in her eye.
“Bet I can finish my smoothie before you can.”
I raised my eyebrows. “Is that a challenge? Because you know I…”
“Are too wimpy to take me up on it, I know…” she shrugged and continued to sip her smoothie lackadaisically.
I set my hand firmly on the table. “That’s it. You are done calling me wimpy. Let’s do this.”
    Hailee grinned. “Ready, set, go!”
We both leaned over and sipped with all our might.

  4. Smoothies are simple drinks that are good for you. They can be made from a strawberry and banana mix with yogurt. It’s yummy and good for you. Add chia seeds to be healthier.

    Cindy Downs
  5. My mom (unintentionally) started making smoothies a few weeks ago when I asked her to make me freshly squeezed orange juice. It was unintentional because we don’t have a juicer, but a blender (?) of some sort that makes smoothies. After experimenting with an orange, she moved onto all the other fruits in our fridge, some traditional (apples and pears) and some not so traditional (pomegranates and quinces). The best part about the entire thing, however, was that she would put these smoothie concoctions in English-style coffee/tea cups with saucers. She’s bae.

  6. smoothies

I like them :) I cut up bananas and freeze them in small pieces because they’re easier to use and to put in smoothies that way. My friend had a frozen smoothie mix when I went to visit her that was really good. It came in a bag. I was sick the whole time I was there, but drinking and feeling that go down my throat was the BEST TASTING THING EVER!!! Unfortunately it was also expensive so I didn’t want to use up her mix too much. Wish there was something that good AND cheaper. It didn’t just have bits of frozen fruit. It also had frozen bits of yogurt or something.

Great… now guess what I want RIGHT NOW.

**** It looks like I posted this and 2 older entries under the wrong name. So I’m going to stick them all together here so they end up with the right username! Hope this works!***

    almost

    almost

I don’t think I ever “almost” anything. I really don’t. I think I’m very Yoda-ish in that way. There is no try. There is do or not do. I do or I do not do. I succeed or I fail. Or I’m still working on something and not there yet. But I don’t think I’ve ever “almost”-ed anything. Or at least I don’t think that way. I either succeeded, or didn’t.

    static

    static

Thinking tv…radios… obvious stuff… static cling. hair… clothes… shock from rug, walking on… shock from touch person, sometimes. static is bad, it seems. pain or something not working or negative. But really, it is a release of energy. that is not directed where the person would like it. It is an annoyance. It is something not working the way people want it to. And it makes a sound… a crackling sound. And that annoys people too.

  10. He grabbed the smoothies out of the barista’s hand, handing one to the beautiful person in front of him. He held his own with two hands, insecure about the date he was on. He needed to stop the urge to grab his hands, that would be too soon.

  14. They pressed their hand into the wrinkled fabric and smoothed out the larger ridges. Life is like this, they thought. On the next pass of their hand, the fabric pulled along the palm to smooth out more.

  15. I like them with blueberries and kale. I want to drink one every morning so that I feel better, not because the new year has started. I FUCKING LOVE smoothies and I hope my blender is ready for tomorrow morning :D

  16. Dreams that were never met,

  18. smoothies are so great because if you dont want to have a huge meal you can replace it with smoothies. also i wish i lived in a tropical place so i could get mangos and bananas out of my garden to have in my morning smoothies. i would also do smoothies as snacks and plant other fruits in my garden so so many different varieties

  19. Two words come to mind for smoothies: 1) Yummy and 2) Jamba juice which can also be described with “Yummy”. I survived on these during college although I don’t drink them much any more. Maybe I should…need to get healthy in the new Year :).

  21. We sat down at the red plastic table and drank our smoothies. The day was unseasonably cold but the sun warmed our skin. We talked about the house, the dog and the kids but we made sure to not talk about anything stressful. It hit me that maybe we should have met at the lawyer’s office instead.

  22. the silky smoothies sit by the window
all warms up the skin that chills due to night
    down the hatch
    proliferates strawberry, mango, mashes
through to the heart, it skips, and pumps.
borrow and lose your roommates fruits too many times, and bet you’ll have a kitchen tirade.
let the sun open up and bridge the shadows together
    forever
    and
    every morrow
    deplete sorrow
because there are always smoothies awaiting the warmth or chill of manical-maidens of moral mills!

  23. We bought a couple of smoothies at the concession stand and quietly watched the baseball game from the far end of the bleachers, sucking the fruity stuff through enormous straws and hiccuping when the tang hit our throats too hard. I had gone for strawberry, Lynn for peach mango. The crack of the baseball bat sent a howl through the rapt crowd, while I was busy focusing on the sweetness in my mouth.
