  1. I love sports. Go yankees! I can’t wait for baseball season to kick up again. My dad and I watch nearly every game. To say we’re enthusiastic baseball fans would be an understatement. Rooting for the yankees, it’s something that we share, something that’s brought us together.

  2. “Sports?”
    “Yep Sports”
Jake hated sport, preferred to sit on the computer playing some game or other.

“thats your punishment” said his mentor

  3. sports ignite the fighter within us. sports make us go wild. they make us mad, sad, or happy. Sports makes us healthy. Sports gets us going. SPorts unite people from all over the globe. Sports bring out the true champion or the dirtiest player within us.

    Raf Canlas
  4. Sports are a man’s world thing, or so they would like us women to think. But in all reality, sports can go either way. The adrenaline rush of your team just making the game winning play, or a time in the pool that blew all of your opponents out of the water. Everyone wants. needs, appreciates that feeling of accomplishment so I say, that sports is an everybodys world thing

  7. There’s nothing worse than walking up to the sign posted outside the gym to find out if you made the team. Your success or failure at sports out there for all to see, as decided by some idiot gym teacher.

  8. At the same time I’m a fan of sports, and not. There isn’t any sport I watch religiously, but I can enjoy an occasional football game here and there. I just don’t feel any loyalty to any one team. I find myself rooting against every team rather than rooting for one team.

  9. sports have always connected human souls in the spirit of competition, those not participating in sport sometimes watch or refere them people always enjoy sport as they bring people together, no nation in history has not used sport as a way of connecting with others, sports are a wide margin and are filled with things for everyone

  10. Sports. It was the only thing that made his day worthwhile. Football, wrestling, lacrosse, basketball, it didn’t matter. Just the few hours a day where things were simple and made sense.

  11. Okay. This is the 3rd time I’ve gotten this word today. Why do I always get sports? Is it like a first time thing? Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. It probably is a first time thing. Are you supposed to type out the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the word? Because the first thing that comes to my mind is Cypress Mountain. Yeah…. I know. I’m a huge fan of skiing. <3

  12. sport mate, I dunno –good for some I suppose – them with –what do they call it –attitude -or is it aptitude – I never got too far with words — oneword even

  13. Wow. I’ve already done this one. Yeah. I’m not exactly surprised. Do you get sports every time or something? I’m confused. If I’ve gotten sports once, why am I getting it again? Whatever. This is one of my new favorite websites. Just getting to write about one word. I should do this more often. I remember I wrote about skiing last time. Now I’m writing about what I wrote about last time. Fun.

  14. my favorite sport is skiing. I think the only reason why I like skiing so much is because of what happened during the 2010-2011 season. I’m not really sure though. Maybe it’s also because of the adrenaline rushes. Yeah, I love skiing though. IT makes me happy. Very happy.

  15. She told me she wasn’t very good at sports. “I love running, though!” So i gave her a pair of trainers and an expanse of open land and she was off.

  16. Never has my mind been more blank than faced with this word. I’m an olympic swimmer who’s forgotten how to float and is flailing about in an empty ocean of doubt.

  21. Sports aren’t something I particularly care to talk about. I feel commercial sports embody a sort of self destructive competitiveness that should be discouraged in today’s society.

  22. i hate sports. fuck that shit. i feel so awkward, my big boobs practically hitting me in the face when I really need to get to the ball. why would i enjoy something like that when nature (and gravity) are clearly working against me. i used to be on the swim team. i was pretty good. but, boobs slow me down.

  23. Sports are an interesting piece of human history. Whether it be the Aztecs and their hoop game or as complex a sport as basketball or baseball sports have been an interestingly influential piece of the human experience. Even today sports stars are reviled as heroes.

  24. I like sports. They’re very good to have fun with your friends or actually get some excersise, but I know that a lot of people don’t like them on the internet. I do. I’m cool and unique and awesome. Like Quidditch.

  28. I used to play football, did that for four years but it wasn’t for me. I do think sports play a big role in children’s lives and has a lot to offer them in terms of life lessons. Sports matter just as much as lessons in school.

  29. The great sportsmen ran after each other up and down the field. They tackled each other, threw the ball around, jumped for the frisbee, juggled hockey sticks and snorted rainbows, all while quite naked. Next time, Coach Sanders thought, he would not allow them to use LSD as a performance enhancing drug.

  30. He sports leather pants, and a flaming red jacket. I’m shocked, and for a moment I can’t hide it. He notices, raises an eyebrow, but I compose myself and he pretends not to notice. I slowly, sneakily let the pent-up air escape from my lungs.

  31. i think sports are unnecessary and irritating. i mean, you can get fit without them. okay, having sports is okay, but do you really have to show them on television? NO! it cuts out of our viewing time of our favourite shows, which we look forward to all week. it annoys me very greatly.

  35. Sports – they’re a way to wage war without the ultimate sacrifice. Two sides giving their time, their bodies, and their smarts to attain the same ends as the other. Like the movie says, “there can only be one”, and that’s also the reason rule books are so thick. Without any rules and penalties, the contest moves from less a gentleman’s tussle and more toward the aforementioned war.

  36. Sports. Some people’s lives absolutely REVOLVE around them. Mine used to be like that. I used to sleep, eat, dream, sports. It was ridiculous. It was mostly because of my dad. Because he was always PUSHING me. Pushing me to be more. To be the best.
But I got tired of it. So, one day, I decided I was done.
I got out of bed, and instead of going to softball practice, I went to the art museum. That’s when my life really began.

  37. i played a few different sports as a kid. baseball, soccer, basketball, football. i was never really all that great at any of them, but had potential and heart. now i watch sports and find myself judging for no good reason.

  38. I hate sports. I can count on one hand the sports I enjoy watching, and there’s only one that I play. I simply can’t see how the idea of sweaty people in jerseys running around fighting over a ball is so appealing to people. Seriously, there’s not much point in it, you know?
