  10. spotlight? what the heck am i supposed to write about that. i saw the word at the top of the screen and i thought that it was the title of the page or something. I didn’t know I was actually supposed to write about it. Its a stupid word anyway. Here I was, thinking I could get into some deep shit and impress some people on some random internet site. But no, instead I’m just writing about some random crap. This has to be the worst entry ever. Am I out of time yet? What the heck? Ca I just keep writing?

  13. it shines directly into my eyes, blinding at first, but i adjust.
i look down, hundreds of expecting eyes looking back at me, waiting for my next move.
i try to move, but my limbs are paralyzed.
i try to speak, but my vocal chords have decided to run away from me.
    i close my eyes.
    i hit the first note.
whispers from the audience trickle into my ears.
i start, very slowly with caution, but then it progresses into a strongly flowing river, sweeping away every other sound, every care, every thing i’ve ever known.
i’m alone, but it’s okay for once.
it’s just me and the music, spotlight shining on me.

  21. Usually it refers to the center of attention. It’s a funny thing about the human race. Some live for it, others fear it with every inch of their being. What it points out about us is that we are very image based and it is not only important to us who is in the the spotlight but also if we ourselves are in it.

  27. Some people prefer the spotlight. It makes them feel alive, makes them feel somehow relevant to thrust themselves into the brightest spot. Those who don’t crave the spotlight aren’t necessarily shy or ashamed, but prefer to be judged on their own, quiet merits. The spotlight is for those who crave attention, who crave love through being seen.
