  13. I remembered vaguely my summers in my youth. The summers were always my favorite, spending time with my friends, swimming, running through the sprinklers in my back yard. I had all the time in the world, then. Enough time that I could waste it.

Now, I knew this was my last night, as the rain beat steadily against the walls of my house; this was not the easygoing atmosphere felt when I was a child. My time, so plentiful before, was now up.

  14. Sprinklers can be nasty little things. Even when you are just driving along the suburbs hoping to make it to your child’s PTA meeting, some little brute desided right by the road was a good place to put a sprinkler.

And I just had my car washed.

  15. sprinklers are a joyous magical way to express water in a way that simple still pools or rivers can’t. The idea of water being alive, rather than inanimate, is a potent symbol of life.

  16. I like sprinklers. They have water, and they’re super fun for hot days in the summer. I remember many happy memories in my neighborhood with friends and popsicles. I just spelled wrong. Oh well this is really weird I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing right now. It’s changing COLORS!!!! I don’t know what to do anymore! My life is over.

  18. I hate sprinklers. They seem to have a gift for going off at exactly the wrong time, in exactly the wrong place, in exactly the wrong way. This summer, when I was sitting in a park in Portugal, a sprinkler went off just as we had sat down for dinner. It went all over my girlfriend’s dad.

  23. Sprinklers are a strange thing. I remember as a kid looking at them as an obstacle course. Run around and around and around and not get wet… except deep down… not even deep down… you wanted to get SOAKED. Strange how it’s almost the same as an adult. Still an obstacle course… but you don’t want to get wet…
