  1. water sprites dance into the air. The sprinkler brings drinks to the grass as little bits of life spray out of the miniscule holes hidden well within the grass. the spray creates rainbows on the air and we smile and run through the mist catching them on our faces.

  2. there is so much about sprinkles to talk about haha… there’s the dance, the way to water lawns, even a way to get sprinkles into a convenient case!! So… they are all very cool. They all have their own uses but have one thing in common… they want to please!!!! I sound desperate for stuff to talk about haha

  5. Amazing sprinklers get me wet, light my soul like no tomorrow. Sprinkling down like stars on fire, my skin starts glowing from their touch. I laugh, I cry, sparkles in my eyes, and yet I try to run. Why do sprinklers leave us moist, when all the grass stays dry??

  6. we sat in the office and noted that there was a cloud of smoke coming from the stair well. People began to become a little nervous until at last the sprinklers sprang into life…the fire was drenched and all was well

  10. i remember when we were young and ran through them, sunshine making the first minutes warm. you know that’s how it always is, inviting and then that initial warmth strengthens us, keeps us brave as suddenly we’re pelted with bits of ice and shame causes goose bumps to rise as our bodies realize they’ve been tricked. Tricked! Oh so fickle it all was.

  15. Sprinklers are in the grass. When you run through them you get wet. Too bad the neighbors don’t know. haha. But little kids love them because sprinklers get the children out of having to take showers. Yay for “free” water. Plus, they’re good for your grass. But they do contribute to water shortages. :)

  21. I wish I had sprinklers. I must put that on my to do list for when I actually have monies. I mean, watering with a bucket is all nice and fine when you are watering flowers, but a whole entire lawn is a wee bit much.
Even just a rain bird sprinkler would work a lot better.

  23. cupcakes or backyards? both make me think of those tv style summers. supermarket commercial summers. no one really has summers like that, do they? not in Israel. sprinklers in the desert? cupcakes when the bomb went off a few blocks away yesterday? no.

  24. When the summer is hot, I would drag you out into the yard. We’d throw our clothes off, dance in the artificial rain. Dad would laugh as those sprinklers danced around us, laugh as we treated water like a game. This year, we turned the sprinklers off. You can’t get your dress wet, you said.

  25. I like sprinklers. They are fun. When I was a kid I would play around in the sprinklers. I would jump and have fun. One day a sprinkler came to life and ate my family. It then kidnapped me and forced me to become its slave. Now I am a slave to the almighty sprinkler. Help!
