  1. sprinklers are in yards, bulings and waterparks. wheather for cosmetics, saftey, or fun, they have become commonplace throughout th US. many people
have sprilkers and refuse to play with them. it is a shame that the go go corprate america attitude has imprinted itself on the american people. why did you buy the sprinkler? you didnt need it. perhaps instead of working overtime to pay for the new flat screen, or breast implants for you insecure wife, you could have spent that time with your practicly bastardized children. dont let bill cosby and drew carey raise your childeren. for christ sakes, one is a whoremonger while the other is a wannabe.

  2. I remember as a kid running through the sprinklers. it was fun. i look back and don’t understand what it was, just a little water but back then it was great. how times change as you get older. 3. They were always on when it was raining…
You would think somebody would have the sense to save someone at least a small amount of money. It would take so little time and could potentially help someone out so much. It’s an interesting thought….

  8. It reminds me of when I would jump out into the yard and–wait, I never did that. We never had so much as a hose in my front yard when I was a kid. No, the most we could hope for to cool ourselves in the summer was to jump in the creek across the road when we lived in the country. We didn’t have any sprinklers.

  9. thedog was trying to eat the sprinkler, and all he got was a WHRGLE. Its just about the funneist and most accurate sound of surprise, rage, and delight you could conjure. I don’t know what that dog was expecting; clearly the sprinkler was on when he approached. Maybe he was thirsty. Maybe he was dumb. But he gave the world the WHRGLE, and i salute him.

  14. It was the early morning. There was dew on the lawn, I noticed. It was only after I’ve been outside for a half hour, looking at the sky when I noticed it wasn;t even dew on the grass. The sprinklers have gone off during the night. I found that odd, since they have never done that before.

  15. sprinklers can be fun or life saving. i loved jumping around on, or in i guess, the sprinkler growing up in indiana, but not that im older i see it more as a way to make sure my apartment doesnt burn to the ground while im not there. well, I guess everything would still be ruined because everything would be soaking wet, so really, whats the difference between things ruined because they are burnt or because they are soaking wet? Nothing really. I guess fire can spread more than water. So its really about protecting other peoples things than your own.

  18. I remember the summers as a kid running through the sprinklers… Carefree, laughing, innocent. What I’d give to spend one more summer as an 8 year old. I’d like to think my dreams back then would not include such grown up things.

  19. wow i can’t believe how many people leave their sprinklers on after the rain. what is the big idea of a beautiful lawn anyway? why do we let society constrain us to only one outlet? whatever…i don’t know what i am talking about

  21. Sprinklers are fun. They are like little blasts of joy because they are watery. And nice. And get you really really wet when you are just so dirty.

  23. sprinklers are fun to play in when you are a young kid during the summer. they help plants to grow in hot and dry weather conditions. they also are in buildings in case of fire emergencies. i remember playing in sprinklers when i was a little girl. it was fun.

  35. sprinklers were from the days of my childhood. The Greenwoods were the neighbours that always kept us occupied. Can you ever take away the pleasure of running through the sprinkler on a hot summer day? But all things fade and now I rarely see those Greenwoods. They have issues from what I hear. How simple it was.

  38. Sprinklers water sidewalks, very few water droplets make it to the grass, to the flowers around the houses. Many around here think that they are “green”, that they are at the head of the trend, but the sidewalks beg to differ.

  40. Sometimes you get caught in the rain, and sometimes you get caught in the rapid-fire shots or mist of sprinklers. It’s usually unexpected, but sometimes you make a point to run through the mist: it’s cleansing, it’s refreshing, especially on hot days like these.
