the sprinklers in the sunny morning threw little diamonds of rainbow throughout the garden

There was an oddly shaped sprinkler in the front yard, George noticed as he ate breakfast that Saturday morning. He stared at it, chewing thoughtfully, and stood up to get a clearer look.
It shivered.
It was so quick he was sure he hadn’t seen it. But it shivered again.
George suddenly knew that he was no long looking at a sprinkler.

sprinklers! yay! take a bikini, and run in the sprinklers, oh the nostalgia. those childhood days when days seemed so long and spent without a care in the world. except for the bullies, and the friends that one didn’t have. no work, no goals,

sprinklers are amazing. the spread there glare in all directions. the thing i visualize wen i think of sprinklers is sky lawnsa. Often sprinklers give rise to rainbows. the glow of water molecules in sun is mesemarizing

fun to play in
good on a hot day
refreshing
reminds me of my grandpop
reminds me of the city with kids playing in the fire hydrants aka sprinklers.
used to water the grass
when you play in them the grass gets stuck in between your toes and makes them itchy!

sprinklers in the sky
rain starlight out
like water drops
down to where
they touch our hearts
causing smiles to shine

The sprinkler system interrupted so many things. Too many. What could have been if time had decided to slow, allowing the water to come just moments later. Maybe we wouldn’t have to say goodbye.

I was running through the sprinklers this afternoon when I was stopped by a gentleman. He asked me what I was doing and if he could join in. He took off his black socks and his shoes and rolled about in the grass with me. He said it was the most fun he had had in years.

He ran through the sprinklers like a wild animal, screaming and shouting at the top of his lungs. I looked at him and couldn’t help but smile. He was such a child on the inside.
“Babe!” I called. “Get over here!”
He ran back to me, only to drag me into the synthetic rain with him.

lighted in the cold of day, mornings icy fingers, heading for work in the lighted cold. Cigarette in hand, face the coldness of day with cracked conscience and a sputtering motor

How come we don’t run through sprinklers anymore? Here’s the thing. I still do, because I refuse to let my childhood disappear. Unfortunately, I fear that 60% of my happiness is forced in an effort to not let my childhood go. Do I miss running through sprinklers or miss enjoying those kinds of things?
Emily
i love to dance in them and watch the sun eliminate the rainbows off of it…makes me feel sparkley

Children should and cry in delight as they run across the wet grass, water splashing them. The bright neon colors of their swimsuits glisten in the summer sun. The sprinklers maker their merry ch-ch-ch-ch-whoosh sound as they revolve.

the sprinklers turn on, but nobody’s home. they’re on automatic, and they keep on going even when everyone’s far left and gone. they’re like your eyes, when you look at me like that. it’s like someone took out all the capitals from your sentences and replaced them with lowercase everything. can you even see me, or are you seeing what it wants you to see?
Please, come back to me. You don’t need it. You’re perfect on your own.

The sprinkles fell to the floor like sadly shed tears. No, they didn’t start out sad, but by the time they found themselves traveling the short distance to the floor sad they were.

I ran through them as a child. Later at band camp I was hazed under them. Cold water that the cross team played in. Sprinklers were high school and childhood all at the same time. I miss those days. there are no sprinklers in college.

The sprinklers turned on at the exact wrong time. All of the precious drugs melted, causing them to soak into his skin. His skin dissolved, and his high was extreme.

running through them in the summer, watching the dog try to catch them, diffusing and refracting the light, the power of the wonder of sprinklers coming on and suddenly everything feeling a little bit better, there, in the summer. Except for getting grass bits on my feet, that sort of sucked a lot.
ScottRobbins
The sprinklers in the front yard went off at 7 in the morning. They always went off at that exact time. They were on a timer. He started out his window watching the water spray as he sipped his coffee. It was a bright, clear day and a good day to die.

sprinklers make my butt so wet when i run through them on that pleasant run down the greenbelt running on the concrete developing shin splints in the 102 summer heat but when i see that sprinkler i just want to run through it, get wet and soaked and have that sweaty feeling disappear for just a few seconds. and on those lucky days the sprinklers are all on in one big row and they just keep coming and coming as i’m running through them. it is quite amazing if you ask me, the sweaty cross country runner who needs nice.

The biggest joy in the world is seeing sprinklers on a run. The water shooting seemingly out of nowhere is like heaven to the eyes. There’s nothing as refreshing as the feeling of the water spraying onto your skin. It’s so simple: run through them, and get wet. That’s it.

there are many uses for sprinklers.
sprinklers keep us safe. they do so by putting out fires when in conjunction with smoke detectors. this allows us a measure of safety against being dangerous.
another use for sprinklers is for watering plants. this automation of a menial task frees us up to do other, more important things like make websites where they display a word and get you to type about it without thinking.

Splash, went the puddles. Splash, splash. This was the sound of the puddles, the little pools of recycled water the sprinklers spat out. Phut, phut, phut, they went, feeding the grass that expanded all around those sprinklers. Those sprinklers brought life to the grass, as it brought life to people’s lives.
Drench
I used to run through them, no shoes, no shirt, screaming, laughing. Stepped on a rotten pear once. It was covered with wasps. I lay with my leg propped up for days
Pam
Sprinklers, tossing us with water. The summer time, and here she sits, KAthy, perky breasts beneath her tube top, and they poke out at me in the summer to say hello. The grass is cut short, and the sprinkler sends water into the depths of the ground, pst the grass on the surface and down, into an acquifer or well, where it shall never be heard from again.

watering the grass, spraying out of those black tubey things. I think sprinklers are useful. However, when I first read the word, I thought of Sprinkles, the cupcake shop and that made me want cupcakes. Unfortunately, there are no cupcake stores here and I can’t bake them because I do not have the equipment. I’m quite saddened by that fact and I need to find a way to get them. I can get muffins. though.
