  1. This word immediately conjures up an image of a huge pile of rubbish or whatnot left untouched in one corner. The pile of neglect, and the pile that is unnoticed. As we keep stacking rubbish on and on.

  29. The stack of CD’s sit in the corner. Most of them haven’ been listened to in awhile, but that’s okay. New music – it’s always a nice thing. Dust is setting on them, age. Their owner doesn’t not love them, it’s just that he has moved on to new frontiers and new genres. Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.

  31. My grandma gave me a stack of cards for Christmas, I think they have pictures of cacti on them or something since she is from West Texas. I have never found a needle in a hay stack before but I bet it would be really hard to find.

  32. I opened four decks of cards, all with red backs, and began to stack them idly on the countertop. It was a beautiful summer day, and yet I felt no desire to go outside or do anything. Mindlessly, I moved my hands, stacking the cards one after another. Finally, when my magnificent house of cards was complete, a breeze rolled in the window and sent it all crashing to the ground.

    She rips the pages out of the chart, and tosses them into the box labeled “deceased.” They pile up. Cats, dogs, decades. They all pass by so quickly.

I was going to have a crazy workload this semester, but the books just kept piling up. I couldn’t seem to get away! The more I read, the more they stacked up! It was like someone was pulling a magic trick on me…
