I mean, I’ve seen plenty of beehives on people who don’t suit the look but I would love to see an actual beehive one day. This word isn’t inspiring. It isn’t fun so I shan’t write anything worthwhile on the subject.

  7. sometimes i like to eat honey. but when i do my mmouth gets sticky so i counteract it with vegemite. i wonder if this is an analogt for likfe, u myst counteract the sweet with the bitter, else everything becomes too sickly sweet… im not a fan of sickly sweet, i find a certain element of revolt attached to the situation and it reminds of the colour pink, and childrens, particularly young girls toys, i have no idea with this concept of disgust that is related to my thoughts on girls toys evolved as i never truly interacted with them, maybe it is this fear of the unkown that is the issue, maybe i am subconciously afraid of things that i dont konw and that are different, is this my ‘australian heritage’ showing through? my inability to approve of things not in my iimmediate natural surroundings?

  12. I was 6 years old. The beehive was hanging low from a branch in the side yard. I knew enough not to approach directly, but I didn’t know enough not to screw with it at all. So, from the garage, I got a broken rake handle and tentatively tapped the hive several times. Nothing happened. Emboldened, I hit it harder. Well, I’m sure it wasn’t exactly the way I now remember it, but … a straight line of about 500 bees exited their abode and followed the rake handle straight to my waiting, tender flesh. Ahhhh, the good old days.
