  16. she stopped. she stared. and i stared back.
i’d caught her. in the act, as they say, and she was speechless, didn’t know what to say. Tried to tell me that, “It’s not what you think”, and that I’d “got it all wrong”. But i couldn’t understand how i could be wrong about seeing her kissing that other girl, hearing her tell her that she loved her more than anything, more than anyone. We were star-struck and startled.

  23. startled was i when you appeared
first in my dreams and then
on the road leading to kingston
here we were, two passing ships,
    unknown to the other…
    lay your burden down,
and let me take it up
    together, we travel the long,
    dangerous highway full of pirates
    and bandits, together
making a joyful noise all the way,

until we get to the end of our road

  33. shock and surprise! it can be fun at times, but some times it’s not so fun, or that good at all really. to be startled will make your heart race, and, usually gets a scream out of women and girly men. The best time is at Halloween! Hide be hind a bush and BAM! one victim down… a night of madness can ensue, making it fun for the whole family!
