  2. all things stem from something — sometimes good things stem from bad and others bad from good, but it all starts someplace. Stem can be a noun as well, but I was thinking verb. Grow, emanate, bud, sprout, all are words that remind me of stem. I don’t know why I’m even writing this, but that’s what I think. It’s also Mets backwards, but who cares?

  31. To stem the flow is sometimes difficult. It is also difficult to know whether it is appropriate. Stemming the flow of my son’s tears at the death of his friend may only be a short-term fix. Maybe he needs to cry.

  35. What good comes out of it? A flower yes, maybe some berries, some leaves too. It’s there for support, to assist others in flourishing. Without it, they cannot stand or turn towards the sun. It’s their pillar, the silent supporter. It never gets as much attention as its flowers or fruit though.

  39. Stem. A plant. A flower. It’s petals are orange at the center, and get progressively lighter nearing the edges. It makes for a very pleasant sight. The tips are nearly yellow. Whenever you look at a flower colored such as this, you can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy, for the colors emanate a warm, fuzzy feeling.

  40. I hate stemmed glasses. I think stems get in the way of the point. They take too much time to get to the real thing you want: the wine, the champagne. Stems are useless.
