654 Entries for “strength”

  1. I have the strength to carry any weight or burden, which on first observation, seems impossible. I have the strength to overcome any obstable that seems insurmountable. I have the strength to love unconditionally at all costs. I am strong. I am strength personified.

  2. Held in my hands, I grip a dying bird. His strength is gone, flown away on the edge of the wind. As I held Him, He shivered. Broken and bleeding, He stared up at me. I had the strength to crush his soul, but what did I do? I caressed Him and loved Him and held Him in my arms. I gave Him back His strength and He gave me hope.

  3. Strength is more than physical stamina, it’s a way of life. You must have strength, mental, emotional and otherwise to get yourself through life. Though you may not be unscathed, you will make it through, ever building on your strength. Strength begets strength. True story.

  4. She heard the birds chatter in the trees around her. They whispered songs of joy and springtime. The smell of the poppies enticed her to pick them, but she stayed where she was, laying on the sidewalk. The clouds drifted above her, and she dreamed of feeling their softness upon her cheek. She breathed in and out so slowly and calmly. Peace was all she felt. She closed her eyes and a smile appeared upon her face. She gave no thoughts to the red liquid pouring from the wounds her attacker had left her with. The fear she had felt only minutes before was long gone from her mind. She wondered what was next. Finally, she lost the strength to hold on to this world, and she was gone.

  5. He was strong.
Stronger than any normal man; he’s able to bend metal with his bare hands and lift boulders with his finger tips. There was no chain, nor cage or imprisonment that could keep him contained.
One strange old man had told him that he was the very habitant of the sun’s strength. The man told him that on the day he was conceived, the sun god had reached down and touched his mother, igniting a small flame within her womb which grew into a child whose strength could not be matched by others. He carried the mark of this act on his arm, a birthmark that scarred in the vague pattern of a sun on his right shoulder. He could not be matched, no one who could overpower him. He could take on the world…
But there was something that the sun god could no prepare him for; a single person who seemed to undermine his incredible strength and power. One woman who made him feel weak and helpless, one look from her left him frozen in spot, his skin tingling with sensation, the hair on his arms rising with anticipation.
    He was strong.
But she required a much different sort of strength.

  7. Stephen, the bakery assistant didn’t know his own strength when he was pulling the baked goods from the oven. Ed, the chief of the bakery kept telling Stephen to be careful with those tins, but did he listen? No.

One of the tasty treats would not dislodge, so Stephen raised his gargantuan gorilla arm. Ed bound across the room to stop him, but it happened too fast. Stephen’s fist hammered into the metal tray and fatally shot him with a biscuit.

  10. i can’t find it within myself. I want to yell, i want to tell the world. To scream and dance and sing and let everyone know who i am, how i feel. But i am weak, i am not strong. The thing which i want i do not have the strength to acquire, for it is in my power to do so, but i fail to actively pursue it.

And to feign every thought into believing all of this is right.
    “he’s right.”

  12. strength is a flame that comes from within. it’s something we all have to find in ourselves, we can’t rely on others to give us strength. we can, however, look to others for support to help us form our strength. we can look to others to inspire strength within ourselves. who we are makes no difference if we don’t have the strength to stand up for ourselves.

  15. The strength of three men was always more than four. That’s what my grandpa would tell me, and I never really got it, not until now. Not until there were only three men, and one woman – and that woman was me – and I realized what a wily pretender he was at being wise. He was just a doting old man.

  16. Survivor ship comes in every corner and when you are strong then you know you can handle anything that comes through your path. Strength fuels every one, thing, and being in this universe. Strength is the soul provider of life and happiness, where we draw our love from.

  17. it’s something that is extremely admired, extremely important, and just necessary in everybody. It’s behind every emotion and motion, and it’s hard to get to the root of things but when you do, some sort of strength pushes it. Some sort of muscle makes beauty beauty. That’s the key, is strenth

    Ashlyn
  18. I am not strong enough. Sure, I’d like to think I am, but the truth is that I’m not. I’m not like those trees that can withstand the strong winds. Not like those rocks that are constantly battered by ocean waves. I’m just there, struggling to stand.

  19. In his strength you saw his fragility. He broke and cried, but at the same time you saw how he carried the burden-how he powered through is troubles. He was a masterpiece in the tragedy of life, and he defeated all with strength of heart

  21. “Give me strength,” he whispered softly to an unknown being. He took a few steps out from the darkness, the faint light seeming to illuminate him–his face cast in deep shadows. “I’m here.” His voice came with cracking courage.
“I’ve been expecting you,” a voice of an older man came. He turned in his swivel chair to face the younger man, his deeply shadowed face devious.

  22. I’ve been trying to find my ‘word’ for some time now, and I think I’ve finally narrowed it down to two in particular. I’ve struggled with various things throughout my life and I wanted to get a word of inspiration tattooed on my wrist to help keep me going when I’m struggling. I can’t decide whether it should be strength or courage, but I think both are really great choices. Perhaps I should get them both?

  23. Strength is about having the courage to stand up for yourself, others, people you care for and people you hate. It’s about staying strong when the world won’t, not giving in to peer pressure of the ideas of a corrupt society. It’s about making your own way in the world, believing you can do anything you set your mind to and DOING it.

  24. Strength is something that we are all born with. We’re strong as we push out of the womb, and we’re strong when we cry at the end of it all. If you’re a c-section… well, never mind. Because that doesn’t really need any strength involved unless you’re a doctor. Poor you guys.

    Liam Herschwitz

Myd ad is strong, mountains are strong hell even country singers are strong. the truth is everybody has something that wants to make them weak. everybody has to have strength to overcome their difficulties. But what happens when strength fails us? when the weakness becomes stronger? That is when bad decisions are made and character is compromised.

There is also inner strength, which i lack also. I am a naturally weak person rather than strong. I wish this would end so i can see what i’m writing this for. Hurry up one minute let it be over. Getting so bored writing this. Haven’t written such mindless crap since i was in 7th grade and had a journal. Ok timer buzz already. Anytime now.

  40. Strength does not come from the muscles. Strength comes from the heart. What can you take on, what can you over come, what do you fear, and how well you handle things. Strength is how well you know your weaknesses and what you do to over come them.
