  2. the zebra had stripes all over is body. but they weren’t black and white stripes, like all the other zebras. he had red and purple stripes. he couldn’t understand it, he was an outcast. none of the other zebras want to be his friend, he was different. but he met an ugly duckling and they lived happily ever after.

And when I get paint on my hand I wipe it off on the carpet and hope that its washable. I can’t wash everything off of the carpet, but I can wash the stripes of paint.   5. Horizontal stripes can tend to make you look wider then you are naturally because of the direction your eyes travel when you look at the pattern. If you are naturally wide, stick to downward stripes.

  19. i love to wear striped socks. i live in portland and everyone here seems to wear some kind of funky striped sock with their rain boots. i only see them when people ride their bikes to and from work and they roll up one pant leg so it doesnt get caught in their bike chain…and thats when i see it. the glorious striped sock. and i passed a funky sock store today while i was walking with my boyfriend. i wanted to go in but we dont have any money, so we just kept walking…but its on my christmas list.

  26. the stripes you wore, the lines are so parallel, so definitively divided. They don’t converge or diverge. They don’t get any closer and they don’t get any further apart. I wouldn’t want a relationship like stripes, where you never move forward, and there is never any letting go. Don’t be stripes.

  29. Zebra’s have stripes. I’ve thought about getting a couch with stripes. Stripes remind me of peppermint candy and of whimsical times and places. As I child I lived to chew the gum with pastel stripes. My husband’s father was a barber back in the days when the barber stripe was outside the door. It was a quieter, simpler time. Stripes – they make me reminisce.
