  1. my mom likes tea. some of my best memories of her and her boiling it on the stove and the swell wafting throughout the house. It warms me to even think about it.

  2. Most of my Irish relatives drink tea regularly. My grandparents, parents, and brother all drink tea. I think it’s because it makes them seem sophisticated. What is the sophistication element that comes with tea? European? I don’t know. I like drinking sometimes when I’m home and it’s raining. And sometimes at school when I’m sick. Is it because I’m sick or because I want people to think I’m sick? Is a big part of drinking tea having people see you drink it? I think so.

  5. A cup of tea is really quite delicious in the morning. I prefer to drink spiced tea however, as regular tea is rather bland. Best of all is iced tea, slightly sweetened with a fruit flavor. I remember as a child making sun tea with my mom and sister. That is all I have to say about tea today.

  10. the largest conundrum i see in tea is the whole color scheme involved in tea naming. Red tea is definitely not red and black tea is mostly brown. the only tea that stays true to its color is green tea, and thats only most of the time.

  11. I like tea. I drink tea a lot so that people do not get uncomfortable that I do not drink coffee. I drink my tea with cream and sugar. I like to do this in a group of people because it makes me feel special. I like smoked teas as well, but I drink them black.

  14. TEa is fairly disgusting…given the lack of sugar. i think its basically water with a disgusting aftertaste. stupid artsy earthy people drink it, just to make themselves feel more artsy and noble. and i hate people like that. ie, i hate tea. well, i’d hate in anyways, i suppose, because its disgusting. one time i had to drink it but i added a bunch of sugar to make it bearable. boston tea party!! yay. whoo

  18. I’m not really sure why this is, but as I age, I’m finding that I find beauty in all faces. I’ll be walking down the street and I’ll see someone and think, wow that person is pretty attractive. The thing is I am starting to think this about everyone, even uggos. what’s up with that?

  19. i enjoy tea. its made from plants are dried and put into tea bags usually. but sometimes its loose tea. ive heard loose tea makes a better flavor, but rather than buy the loose tea, cant i just buy bag tea and cut it open? same deal right? as long as i have to strain it out. having tea be the same pronunciation as a letter is confusing for toddlers. its easy to get other letter-sounding words mixed up with each other. my sister told me once that she drank pee.

  22. tea.

    really???

    i hate tea.
it’s got such a weird, bitter after taste. sweet and smooth going down, but after it’s over, it’s like a scorching lava lamp or a very large bug exploding in your mouth. tea is not very delicious, especially the after taste. and, try as you might,
    sugar certainly does not help.

  23. Green tea. I should drink it, but I don’t. My mother drinks tea. Sure, it has caffeine, but it’s not SODA. I like soda, even though it’s rotting me from the inside out. It’s sugary and it makes me happy. I don’t know if I’ll ever like tea, but I can try. I figure if I ever went to England, “tea time” would make me like tea. But you know. Tea and I just don’t hang, at least not right now. Maybe I’ll make it my goal when I start losing weight, eh?

  28. I like tea. I never did growing up, but there was just something about it after I go to college that made me calm and collected. I have to have my nightly cup of tea. I don’t know what I would do without it…especially during finals week. I would get so jittery without it. It’s aroma, it’s taste, it’s warmth…makes me so comfortable and happy.

I think it’s your presence, it makes me vie for you attention.

  35. We both sat at the too small table, cradling our mugs for comfort and sipping from them awkwardly. The little shop was crowded, but not so much that we had any reason not to talk. I was so in love with him, so in love that I could tell from the look in his eyes that he did not love me back. I had walked to the ends of the earth for him, held his hand as he bled slowly to death in front of me and carried him back home. After all of this, and he still could not sit in a tea shop without wanting to run. All of this, and he could not tell me how he really felt. He quite literally owed me his life, and he still could not even look me in the eyes. I could feel the heat from my mug seeping into my fingers, could feel it burn my lips as I took another sip. It was my heart that broke as I stood up and left, without ever looking back. And he didn’t stop me.
