  6. I’m so thirsty I just want to die. Its so hot out this June day in summer, and I would love ot be in a cool room instead of working outside in this disgusting heat. I wish there was some way I could have some lemonade, because that would help my thirst. I can’t believe they made me come in to work today when it was my day off, why couldn’t I just say no, then I wouldn’t be complaining like I am now, but I really needed the money. So, now I’m just going to suck it up and continue working, but I can’t work, omg….why can’t this day go faster, maybe I can sneak out of here and go find a pool to jump in, then I can sneak back into work like nothing ever happened, it would be like I was always here, but no one would know it…ohh that sounds wonderful, but I know its not going to work with the freakin boss constantly looking at us.

Cindy sauntered up to the bar. “I have a thirst…” “For knowledge?” Marshall tried to end Cindy’s sentence. “Uh, no,” she replied. “I have a thirst…” “For power,” he supplied this time. “Oh hush up,” she cried. “No, dude. 33. thirst is an interesting concept. hunger and thirst are said to go hand in hand, and each idea has a specific type of essence that the idea is fixated on. Thirst is something that is quenched by a liquid and cannot hope to fill the void in your stomach that maybe a hamburger or slice of pizza would do. I appreciate thirst, I feel as if thirst is there to remind you first and foremost, to stay hydrated. However, thirst allows each individual to develop a taste for certain drinks they prefer. When we are thirsty we usually think of the best drink for the job. Whether its hot or cold, early or late, there seems to always be a beverage that fits in the “just right” category. What is thirst when one is not thirsty? Some have said there is a thirst for knowledge that exists. I can neither prove this nor disprove this but I feel I can agree with this idea, because if treated as such, Knowledge and Wisdom, Facts and Fiction, can all be used as a fluid or beverage. We intake ideas from all kinds of mediums and sources, however, some of these experiences stay with us more prominently then others. And as we drink these ideas in, we forced to pick our favorite, and discard the less convincing convictions. And yet we still must continue to learn and allow even the smallest parts of this world to nourish us continuously, with different ideas affecting our thoughts and actions everyday.

  40. This word is overused in certain progressive clergy circles when trying to describe their reasons for joining the ministry. I have an immediate, eye-rolling reaction to this word, because my cynicism about the church has become almost palpable in the past three years. I wish I could find a way to care about organized religion.
