  1. I love the rain. It makes my day. The thunder and the lightening and the rain pattering against the rooftop, and the puddles and the laughter and dancing. I love it. The sun can get so intense, and the thunder just makes the windowpanes rattle and my chest pound with it. I love the thunder…

  2. I always liked the sky. I liked looking at it and taking pictures of it; it never looked the same twice — the clouds would move, the sun would get brighter. My friends and I, in fifth grade, made a fake television show, and I was the cameraman and meteorologist. It was sunny practically every day, but I still loved my job.

  3. Harsh blasts and bursts of scary storms.

  4. The thunder roared above my head, as my heart tapped out its own rhythm against my rib cage. He leaned in, the rain streaming down his face. I lifted up my head, and softly pressed my lips to his. It was like fire burned through my veins, while the icy rain tickled my goosebumps, as if to say see? Isn’t he all you imagined he’d be?

  11. The thunder stroke and Everybody was paralized. It was the sinonym of great missfurtune approaching the little town. The little girl sat and watched the sky, she knew it was the beginning of the end, there was nothing else they could do about it accept to embrace their faith. Doom was here to stay.

  12. Thunder.
It trembles through your skin, roaring and tearing it’s way through the ground up into your body.
It’s a feeling you can’t ignore. It’s painful. Gut wrenching. Terrible.
It’s nature’s fury. It’s every death. Every fear. Every lost childhood and failed dream.
    Thunder.

  13. as the couple ran from the graveyard, they herd the thunder roar behind them. She momentarily turned around in shock, only to catch a glimpse of the horror that was about to begin. a long strand of lightning had bolted down and struck where they once were sitting. she trembled as she saw a hand rise from the disheveled earth, grasped his waist, and mentally prepared herself for what was about to come next.

  14. The sound thunder makes is amazing. It’s so loud and terrifying. But at the same time it gives me a thrill of excitement. I love what also comes after thunder, lightning. It is so cool to watch the bright that flicker up the dark night. But also, at times I hate thunder because it scares my dogs and they are barking all night. It is sooooooo annoying! You just want to hit them to make them shut up. But I don’t hit them.

  17. The sky blackens as I walk outside. The clouds hovered all day and are now coming to their pinicle. I see it finally burst. The rain starts to fall down. A flash of lightening and a rumble of thunder rock me as I go back inside to my safe haven.

  19. I like the thunder because it is the kinetic and aurally pleasing product of the electrical energy in clouds. Sometimes it can sound frightening but then I remember the atmosphere is up there and we’re safe because of it. We’re really fucking up the world at the moment though. It has always been a delicately balanced ecosystem and all the chemicals we pump into it is putting it way out of whack.

  20. when I hear thunder it makes me cuddle up in a ball. it is such an awing sound and i love it so much. thunder to me is kinda of like the sky rebelling against itself. it is such a cool sound.

  21. The sound roared in her ears as she ran, feet splashing sloppily in the ankle-deep puddles. She had not an inkling of where she would end up, dazed and panicking, but all she knew was that she had to run, and the ever-growing rumble of thunder was enough to propel her wobbly legs forward.

  22. The sky was a dark black, the clouds rolling over the sky like a herd of angry bison. Behind the door of the closet I could hear the sky crackle and roar with angry thunder. The lights, which had been out for hours, Suddenly sparked on. Soon enough, however, i realized it wasn’t electricity, but lightning striking the house

  24. It’s a dark evening. The loud sound alarms the young children, frightening them. Thunder is loud and ear-shattering. Children fear it, and so do animals.

Before thunder, usually accompanies lightning. Light travels faster than sound. Thunder usually means a storm is coming.

  25. Tormenting me, your words, like thunder, push my breath back to the heavens, echoes tearing through the tides of discord flowing through my mind. Every dream and vision awakens to the luminosity of your smile when I see your face lit by the calm of the night. All that we are can never die, how could I ever truly say good bye?

  26. i do enjoy the sound of thunder. particularly when it’s frightening and out of place. i like when it comes first as a precursor to the lightning storm that will soon follow. it’s amazing to me that light in the sky can actually make a sound and one so loud that it would shake your windows and wake everyone in the house.

    Tanisha

  29. The thunder rumbled across the greying sky, lightning bursting from the bulging rainfilled clouds. I cowered under the blanket as the house shook with the wind. We hadn’t had thunder this strong for years. I hoped for anything that it would ease off by morning.
