The waves swayed and rocked the boat. It was dangerously close to those jagged rocks. We came out at high tide and we felt safe. But we slept in the warm sun not realizing the tides were so severe in this part of Nova Scotia. We were wrong.

The tide unfurled her frothy foam,
revealing a trail of pearly shells
and sharp, sparkling sea glass
like a broken stained window
or beads from a mermaid’s necklace.
The tide came in crashing along the shore. Dark waves of tar and trash, covering the white sand beaches. feathers and oil, Scales and sand.
Vanessa
i was in a race with my friend to see who could shoot the farthest and tide.

The ocean air streamed salty and damp around her locks, blowing though the wharf. He wouldn’t look at her face, which made her smile: she’d done her job well. She was a mermaid, born to lead men to the deaths, and never to love. But him, he had always been her weakness. Now he hated her; so he could live.
the tide will rise and come again and sweep away what love forgot and left alone upon the shore

the tide splashed against the couple’s legs as they swiftly walked along the shore, hand-in-hand, glancing down at the soft prickly sand covering their feet.
tide comes in and goes out. when tides low you can go to the sandbar. but watch out bc if itsd in when u get there it might creep on you and go out. then youre srewed and ur boat is stuck. tricky thing that tide bc its also a laundry detergent.
Probably good to wake up and write, to get the mind to work.
Words come in like the tide, I feel, that it’s there when you don’t want it to be but never when you want to see something great like a sea creature or something.

Broken and never whole, the tides of time are forever moving. I stand back and let them wash over me. Could it be that I am lost? I glance around. Nothing. Time is past and I am late…
Sean Coppens
These couple of weeks have been hard. Really hard if you could believe, but I doubt that you do. It was weeks of trying to erase all thoughts of the way you looked in the morning. Thoughts of how you laughed at something that wasn’t funny. Thoughts of how you could just get up and leave without looking back. Oh, how I tried to tide over this little ‘crisis’, but who knew you ever left such a huge impact anyway? :(

The tide is the same, it rolls, it thunders, crashes into my soul. Illuminating the moons in my mind to higher thinking. I think about the air, it’s salty from the sea. The sea is beautiful in the moonlight hour at midnight. I walk and think. I walk and think.

the tide belongs to the sea – the tide comes in and out at the beach. Appreantly, the tide has something to do with the moon. You have to be careful whilt in rockpools at the beach because the tide comes in quickly meaning that you could get stranded and could possibly die from drowning
Catherine
The tide came in like a great destruction, sweeping everything in its path to the darkest depths.
It came in a lot faster than I anticipated, and never left again. What it brought up from the depths, I cannot even begin to describe to a sane person. Assuming you are one.

Simple. Just one word. The tide. A constant in out ever-changing, always developing lives is the tide. In and out it never stops. And neither should you.

Her moods ebbed and flowed. She would one day ride the crest of a hormonal tidal wave and do something she couldn’t undo, some act of violence. Some act of hatred and rage that would probably come in a verbal form and words would become projectiles aimed at those she loved. The wave would crash over them, destroying anyone who wasn’t firmly anchored in her life, and when it was over, only those most steadfast would remain.
Jeanette
The shore tide rushed to the beach, dragging large globs of oil with it. There were birds on the beach, struggling violently against the slick that covered them. It was a tragedy no doubt; a tragedy no one would take responsibility for and no one could fix.
The frothy blue water wash upon my feet and all I could think about was what I said to my mother. I wanted to take it back I new my actions were as solid and sure as the ocean’s tide.
Sean Driscoll
Whatever force ascends and descends the tides, I continue to float along the ripples left behind. You can’t drown anything that’s already been dead. Including this heart.
Sometimes i care about her a lot, sometimes i don’t. I do not know what causes these tides inside me to rise and recede. It could be a thing she says in the morning, or how long it takes her to call back. In any case “the moon” is an enviously simpler explanation.
In the tide of time I have nowhere to sidetrack. If I could swim I would flow with the tide. But I only know sidestroke or treading water.

I wanna run with the tide, carried on the froth and following the moon’s every demand; I want to run wild along its leash and drag you into its – my – reigns so that you can rain back onto me, softly, replenishing and quiet. I love the rain as I love its cousin, dripping salt onto my lips as I pray to my God for peace of mind, stillness of dark, and gentle rhythm of pitter-pattering raindrops, or the waltzing of the tide.
going to the beach, she kissed him.he cupped her breast;then gently pulled the top away.”ooh,’ he said in a happy wide eyed amazement.
Re:Joyce
During the day, the ocean waves tumble down on top of me. At night, the calmess of the ocean tide rocks me to sleep.
Bethany Morris
She reached through the bubbles. She reached up to where he was standing, letting the water gently wash through his feet. Her green, tangled fingers wrapped round his ankle and he shook her off. She retreated to the depths, washed away by the tide.
when water comes in and out at certain times of he day, usually has to deal with the ocean but can also involve lakes, rivers etc. The water height will change as the tide changes. this also makes waves different as the day oes on, deals with the position of the moon

The tide is high but I’m holdin’ on, I’m gonna be your number one!
Would all the water fall off the planet if the moon disappeared?
In my own version of one of my favorite songs, the boy is left wondering why love can be so cruel and how one can fall out of love so quickly, without a word of notice from the counterpart. maybe love isn’t fallable and never will be. Maybe i should just start to think like a primate. I need to procreate, that’s it.
tide is a name of a detergent in India, its competing with Ariel and surf excel. ebb.
in our country ebb is kind of a slang for manure.
but that doesn’t have anything to do with tide right?
maybe the word detergent has a lot more connection to it?
Once again, the tide has come in bearing its wealth of fruits and soils, sliding on the gravel path in liquid oceanic debris, I can pick and choose from the products of some other man’s labor just by holding out my hand

The tide rises and the tide falls. That’s not mine.
Water. Ocean. Waves on a long sandy beach. The tide singing a song.
Who listens?

The tide is high. the tide is low, we have seen them ebb and fall. Life itself is like a tide..
Tides of joy follow me as i run down the hill towards the ocean for it is summer time. With all the joy that comes with that…
