  1. The floor of our bathroom is tiled. Tiles…are beautiful, sometimes less perfect than you want them to be. Things can be tiled to cover imperfection, like waterstained walls. But my tiles cover more than waterstains. My tiles cover memories, painful and beautiful. My tiles are my art, and my heart. Beautiful.

My mom and dad have done it, and I’ve thought about how cool it would be to do it… but… I just don’t care enough to ever learn. Sort of like sewing. I want to learn and do it… but I don’t want to take the time. You know?

After a few brief moments outside, he realized the light and heat of the blazing sun wasn’t helping his headache at all. He decided to head back indoors, next to the cool AC.

  26. i hate tile floors. actually that’s not true. at all. but I don’t like the whole white and blue above the sink tiles that are in a lot of bathrooms… I actually think they’re doing that in the new bathroom we have upstairs.. maybe I just won’t use it. I’m boycotting a room in my own house.

  27. The floor was tiled with blue and gold fringe around the edges. My mom thought it was the most beautiful floor in the world and there was no way she was ever going to change it. There was a problem with the fringe though, it was the most difficult to clean, and obviously, I had that job. I hated it, every day I would have to comb it so that it would be so lovely and perfect, for if it weren’t, she would be very disappointed in me. There was no way she would ever forgive me after it.
