  1. When I was walking down the aisle, the first thing I noticed were the tiles. Colorful and bursting, as if joy itself were contained within them, they contrasted sharply with the pain I felt inside. What had gone through their minds to put something like that there? Was it a chance to cure? A sign of hope?

  4. I got tiles, they don’t hide now. I like to keep them where I can see them (hiding in plain sight, if you will). My bathroom used to be tiled, before I moved anyway. This new one is smaller, and it has linoleum.

  6. My dad loves to do all his own home improvement projects, but I’m not sure if he’s ever tried tile. I wish I would have helped him more when I was a kid. It always looks good, and I’m sure I’ll want to know how to do lots of stuff that he would have shown me.

  7. The untiled kitchen floor was perfect for dancing on. It also caught my tears the day after. Everything has to end, I know – I understand. But I don’t WANT it to. My world is one of dancing and crying, joy and sorrow, past and present. The tiles are arriving tomorrow.

  8. bathrooms are usually tiled with any colored or patterned tiles. once when i was in japan i went to a natural hot springs that flowed out of the rocks into a nicely tiled pool. tiles tiles tiles. tile is an interesting word. in german, “teil” (pronounced the same way) means “part or piece”.

  9. My roof is made of tiles. pretty tiles to be exact. they are the same as everyone elses, but mine are better. Why? becuase they’re prettier. duh. out of time oh shit.

  10. Whenever I walk around I count the titled floor. If the tiled floor is composed of different colors I’ll sometimes pick out one of colors and only walk on those.
    Tiled floors are quite nice but I like wooden floors better.

  12. where bthrooms are filled with and it prevents liquireds from staying and ruining all sorts of terrible situations and so you don’t have to clean it up with carpet cleaning which is really difficult and time consuming. but tile and be that as well

  13. the kitchen is tiled with a blue tiles. they’re cold and my hot cat who is wiser than any human i’ve ever met sleeps on them when it’s too hot for his thick fur.

  14. like a bathroom floor. A hard flat rock that makes everything look clean and organized. But, this also increases the risk of slipping and falling on your head. While dangerous ( in some idiotic cases ) this is a important thing to have in your bathroom. I have some in mine. They are wonderful for my feet

  15. Tiled is what my bathroom is.
    It is an interesting concept that is being over used by many a overpriced interior designer. the most annoying thing about tiling is grouting, It’s so messy

  18. we have a lot of tiled floors here in AZ. They are beautiful to look at, but dangerous when they are wet. I miss the hardwood floors we had in New England. Yes, the spanish tiled floors are nice to look at and fit AZ, but I am homesick for Massachusetts.

  19. i tiled a kitchen once. It was quite a job. No one was home at the time so i took my time and tried to do a good job. I used white tile with accents placed about eye level. It was fun.

  20. I do not like tiled floor I much prefer carpet. I once lived in a house where all the floors were tile and i couldn’t stand it. I felt like the floor was costantly dirty and I would be sweeping all the time.

  22. That’s how the floors in our old house were. Worn and cool and smooth, I would lay on them during the hot nights, making pictures on the stucco ceiling above me.

    “I have company coming over.”

  30. A small kitchen is filled with the heavenly aroma of beef stew. Nearly heavenly aroma that is, for the children hate beef stew. The stew splashes as father stirs it. It coats the black and white ceramic tiles with a layer of meat, potato and carrots.
