  1. The tiled floor is cool beneath my feet as I walk barefoot through my dining room. Devendra Banhart is playing softly, and it smells like summer. It’s beautiful outside. It’s a good day.

Onc I was across this pattern I looked up and noticed a spider just in time before he bit me and I layed over and died. What a brilliant day, Oh what a brilliant day.

  5. I have never tiled a floor in my life. My daughter’s husband did their kitchen and it looked great. I would be afraid it would be crooked or something. Professional installation is probaly best.

  8. A tiled floor seems so unified that it can be scary. However, when you look at the floor closely, little bits begin to show themselves in funny ways to you. Like the time your brother accidently fell and splattered ink all over. There’s still a mark there. The time you dropped a knife and it left a small hole- right in the corner over there. Fact is, as soon as you put a floor down, it’s not the same floor you started with.

  12. Linoleum is really cold in the winter. Tiled floors are easy to clean. However not in the cracks between each tile. I like hardwood.

  14. it’s chilly out today. all rainy and cold, which is weird because it’s almost august. the tiles in the kitchen are hard and cold and my dog is curled up on them because he likes the feeling.

  22. i work construction. i dont lay my own tile, but it is fun to watch the ladies lay tile. i dont want to do this for the rest of my life though. im gonna be a middle school math teacher. im currently a junior at purdue university.

  23. When things are tilted to the side, they are shown in a new, and possibly eye opening perspective. The application of this into modern life is to look at things that we look at normaly and “tilt” them. Thus, looking at them from another point of view.

  36. My bathroom is tiled. I dont know whether carpeting would be better or not. I like the feel of the tile, but when I’m barefoot the material doesn’t really matter, unless its broken glass. I dont know why I’m writing this, the website is a bit weird. whatever. this is cool i guess.
